時佛告
T03n0190_p0715a10:彼優陀夷言:「汝優陀夷!至心諦聽。其瞿多彌
T03n0190_p0715a11:釋種之女,非但今世嫌餘釋童而樂於我,過
T03n0190_p0715a12:去世時亦復如是,不用彼等諸釋童子,取我
T03n0190_p0715a13:為夫。」
時,優陀夷即白佛言:「唯然世尊!願為我
T03n0190_p0715a14:說。此事云何?我今樂聞。」
T03n0190_p0715a15:爾時,佛告優陀夷言:「我念往昔,雪山之下,多
T03n0190_p0715a16:有雜類無量無邊諸獸群遊,各各相隨,任[4]取
T03n0190_p0715a17:所食。時彼獸中有一牸虎,端正少雙,於諸獸
T03n0190_p0715a18:中無比類者。彼虎如是,毛色光鮮,為於無
T03n0190_p0715a19:量諸獸求覓欲取為對,各各皆言:『汝屬我來!
T03n0190_p0715a20:汝屬我來!』復有諸獸,自相謂言:『汝等且待!莫
T03n0190_p0715a21:共相爭,聽彼牸虎自選取誰,即為作偶,彼獸
T03n0190_p0715a22:即是我等之王。』時,諸獸中有一牛王,向於牸

T03n0190_p0715b24:太子故,第一宮內,所有婇女,當於初夜,侍衛
T03n0190_p0715b25:太子。第二宮內,其諸婇女,於夜半時,供承
T03n0190_p0715b26:太子。第三宮內,諸婇女輩,於後夜時,侍奉太
T03n0190_p0715b27:子。其第一宮,耶輸陀羅最為上首,二萬婇
T03n0190_p0715b28:女,圍繞侍立。
T03n0190_p0715b29:「第二宮中,摩奴陀羅([9]隋言意持)而為上首。

T03n0190_p0715c20:千之中,前後圍繞,受諸快樂,恭敬侍養,一
T03n0190_p0715c21:切皆以種種瓔珞,莊嚴其身。復以金釧七寶

T03n0190_p0716a11:「爾時,南方摩伽陀國,有一大王,姓羶連尼,名
T03n0190_p0716a12:頻婆娑羅,畏懼怨敵,心內恒愁,集聚群臣,
T03n0190_p0716a13:常相議論,作如是語:『汝等諸臣!出入去來,觀
T03n0190_p0716a14:境內外,莫使更有一人勝我,若勝我者,恐彼
T03n0190_p0716a15:人來,奪我王位。』時諸臣等即差兩人,令巡境
T03n0190_p0716a16:界。時彼二人聞王勅已,歷自境內及隣界
T03n0190_p0716a17:首,周匝欲還,聞有人言:『從此已北,有一最大
T03n0190_p0716a18:高峻雪山,彼山麓下有別種姓,稱為釋迦。族
T03n0190_p0716a19:內初新產一童子,其人端正,善得生地,兼彼
T03n0190_p0716a20:姓氏,第一特尊,眷屬豪強,眾事具足,身有三
T03n0190_p0716a21:十二丈夫相,亦復備於八十種好。彼生之日,
T03n0190_p0716a22:有諸解相婆羅門等,以授其記:「今此童子,身
T03n0190_p0716a23:體具有三十二相八十種好,炳著分明。其若
T03n0190_p0716a24:在家,必定得作轉輪聖王,統四天下,十善化
T03n0190_p0716a25:民,七寶充備,不用兵仗,自然歸降;若捨出
T03n0190_p0716a26:家,當得作佛、多[3]陀阿伽度、阿羅[4]訶、三藐三
T03n0190_p0716a27:佛陀,十號具足,乃至說於清淨梵行。」』
T03n0190_p0716a28:「時彼使人履涉迴還,即向其王頻婆娑羅,白
T03n0190_p0716a29:於是事,乃至梵行,如上所說。『是故大王!及其
T03n0190_p0716b01:幼年,速當起兵滅彼童子,莫令於後來奪我
T03n0190_p0716b02:等大王之位。』作是語已,摩伽陀王頻婆娑羅,
T03n0190_p0716b03:即告於彼二使人言:『卿等二人莫作是說!何
T03n0190_p0716b04:以故?若如汝言,脫彼童子必定得作轉輪聖
T03n0190_p0716b05:王,如法治化,我當敬奉伏接隨從,依彼威神,
T03n0190_p0716b06:我等受樂,安隱治化;若彼捨家得作佛者,慈
T03n0190_p0716b07:悲憐愍,度脫眾生,我等為其作於聲聞受法
T03n0190_p0716b08:弟子。今觀如是二種果報福德因緣,不可興

T03n0190_p0716b10:「時,淨飯王於其太子所住宮院,周匝別更造
T03n0190_p0716b11:立子城,唯置一門名為野獸,彼門下[5]關安
T03n0190_p0716b12:施機發,開閉之時,有五百人扶持擁衛,方
T03n0190_p0716b13:得開闔,其門聲動聞半由旬。次第二重中院
T03n0190_p0716b14:宮閤,亦開一門,其關鍵[6]鑰,皆安機發,[7]開閉

T03n0190_p0719c16:更復讚歎園林功德,其音稱言:『聖子諦聽!園
T03n0190_p0719c17:林之地,甚可愛樂,所謂其地,布青軟草,樹木
T03n0190_p0719c18:可[*]喜,枝葉扶踈,華果敷榮,蓊欝滋茂。復有
T03n0190_p0719c19:諸鳥,所謂種種鴻鶴孔雀、鸚鵡鸜鵒,及拘翅
T03n0190_p0719c20:羅鴛鴦等鳥,出於如是微妙之聲。』
T03n0190_p0719c21:「爾時太子聞是聲已,發出遊心,即喚馭者而
T03n0190_p0719c22:謂之言:『汝善馭者!今可速疾嚴飾莊挍賢直
T03n0190_p0719c23:好車,我今欲向於彼園林觀看善地。』是時馭
T03n0190_p0719c24:者聞此語已,白太子言:『謹依[11]命教,不敢
T03n0190_p0719c25:有違。』是時馭者,速疾即奏淨飯王言:『大王!
T03n0190_p0719c26:當知,太子今欲出向園林觀看善地。』時淨飯
T03n0190_p0719c27:王出勅,宣令迦毘羅城一切內外,悉遣灑
T03n0190_p0719c28:掃,清淨莊嚴,除却土[12]堆[13]砂礫瓦石,穢濁糞
T03n0190_p0719c29:聚皆使端平,以妙香湯灑散地上滅諸塵
T03n0190_p0720a01:埃,又以香泥用塗其地;復持種種香華,散
T03n0190_p0720a02:上於諸街巷,處處皆燒雜妙好香。其諸街

T03n0190_p0720a11:嚴迦毘羅城,精麗猶如乾闥婆城,一種無異。
T03n0190_p0720a12:莊嚴城已,復飾園林,除却沙石及諸糞穢,乃
T03n0190_p0720a13:至交[4]珞懸眾寶鈴,如上所說。其諸樹中,有
T03n0190_p0720a14:男名者,以男瓔珞而莊嚴之,若女名者,以女
T03n0190_p0720a15:瓔珞而莊嚴之。復教打鼓振鈴,遍告城內人
T03n0190_p0720a16:言:『汝等悉皆除却道上,或老或病,或復死亡、
T03n0190_p0720a17:盲聾瘖瘂、六根殘缺不具足者,悉令駈逐。但
T03n0190_p0720a18:是心意所不好[*]喜,及非吉祥,並令除[5]擗,勿
T03n0190_p0720a19:使太子於路見之。』是時馭者莊飾車乘,駕善
T03n0190_p0720a20:調馬,悉嚴備已,白太子言:『聖子當知!今已
T03n0190_p0720a21:駕被車馬訖了,正是行時,可乘而出觀看善
T03n0190_p0720a22:地。』
T03n0190_p0720a23:「爾時,太子從[6]座而起,至輦乘所,登上寶車
T03n0190_p0720a24:上已,秉持大王威神,巍巍勢力,從城東門,引
T03n0190_p0720a25:導而出,欲向園林觀看福地。是時作瓶天子
T03n0190_p0720a26:於街巷前,正當太子,變身化作一老弊人,傴

T03n0190_p0720b16:敗,無所覺知,氣力綿微,身體羸瘦,既到苦
T03n0190_p0720b17:處,被親族駈無所能故,不知依怙;兼且此
T03n0190_p0720b18:人,亦不能久,非朝即夕,其命將終。以是因緣
T03n0190_p0720b19:故名老壞。』即為太子而說偈言:
T03n0190_p0720b20:T03n0190_p0720b22:「爾時太子聞此偈已,問馭者言:『此人為是獨
T03n0190_p0720b23:一家法使其如是?為當一切諸世間相悉皆
T03n0190_p0720b24:如斯?』是時馭者報太子言:『聖子!當知,此人非
T03n0190_p0720b25:獨自一家法使其如斯,但是一切世間眾生,
T03n0190_p0720b26:皆有是法。』太子復問彼馭者言:『我今此身,亦
T03n0190_p0720b27:[17]當如是受老法耶?』馭者答言:『如是如是,大
T03n0190_p0720b28:聖太子!貴賤雖殊,凡是有生,悉皆未過如是
T03n0190_p0720b29:老法,即今人身具有如是老弊之相,但未現
T03n0190_p0720c01:耳。』太子復問於馭者言:『若我此身,不離是老
T03n0190_p0720c02:老法,未過有是醜陋衰惡相者,我今不假向
T03n0190_p0720c03:彼園林遨遊戲笑,宜速迴駕還入宮中,我當
T03n0190_p0720c04:思惟作何方便得免斯苦。』是時馭者答太子
T03n0190_p0720c05:言:『如聖子勅,我不敢違。』即迴車乘,還入於
T03n0190_p0720c06:城。是時太子至其宮內,坐本座上,正念思
T03n0190_p0720c07:惟:『我亦當老,老法未過;云何縱逸,自放身

T03n0190_p0720c09:「時淨飯王問馭者言:『汝善馭者!今從太子,從
T03n0190_p0720c10:宮內出,至於園中,遊戲觀看,恣情極目,歡樂
T03n0190_p0720c11:以不?』其馭者跪報於王言:『大王!當知太子
T03n0190_p0720c12:出遊,至於半道,勒駕迴還,不到園苑。』時淨飯
T03n0190_p0720c13:王問馭者言:『太子何故不至園林,中道而返?』
T03n0190_p0720c14:馭者答言:『大王!當知太子欲向園林遊戲,始
T03n0190_p0720c15:至半路,忽於道傍,見一老人,乃至身體,戰慄
T03n0190_p0720c16:拄杖,或倒或起,不能正行。太子如是見彼人
T03n0190_p0720c17:已,即勅迴車,還入宮內,[18]加[19]趺而坐,正念
T03n0190_p0720c18:思惟。』時,淨飯王即心念言:『希有希有!此之
T03n0190_p0720c19:形相,阿私陀仙[20]授記語言,必定真實,決恐
T03n0190_p0720c20:太子捨家出家。我今宜應更為太子增益五
