爾時,世尊告諸比丘:「若能受持七種

T02n0099_p0290b22:釋本為人時,供養父母,及家諸尊長,和顏軟
T02n0099_p0290b23:語,不惡口,不兩舌,常真實言;於慳悋世
T02n0099_p0290b24:間,雖在居家而不慳惜,行解脫施,勤施,常
T02n0099_p0290b25:樂行[11]施,[A1]施會供養,等施一切。」爾時,世尊即

佛答言:「見。」
離車復問:「世尊!
T02n0099_p0290c08:見有鬼似帝釋形以不?」
佛告離車:「我知
T02n0099_p0290c09:天帝釋,亦知有鬼似天帝釋,亦知彼帝釋
T02n0099_p0290c10:法,受持彼法緣故,得生帝釋處。離車!帝
T02n0099_p0290c11:釋本為人時,供養父母,乃至行平等捨。」爾
T02n0099_p0290c12:時,世尊即說偈言:

時,有異比丘來詣佛所,稽
T02n0099_p0290c22:首佛足,退住一面,白佛言:「世尊!何因、何緣
T02n0099_p0290c23:釋提桓因名釋提桓因?」
佛告比丘:「釋提桓
T02n0099_p0290c24:因本為人時,行於頓施;沙門、婆羅門、貧窮、
T02n0099_p0290c25:困苦、求生行路乞,施以飲食、錢財、穀、帛、華
T02n0099_p0290c26:香、嚴具、床臥、燈明,以堪能故,名釋提桓因。」
T02n0099_p0290c27:比丘復白佛言:「世尊!何因、何緣故,釋提桓因
T02n0099_p0290c28:復名[18]富蘭陀羅?」
佛告比丘:「彼釋提桓因本
T02n0099_p0290c29:為人時,數數行施衣被、飲食,乃至燈明。以
T02n0099_p0291a01:是因緣,故名富蘭陀[1]羅。」
比丘復白佛言:「何
T02n0099_p0291a02:因、何緣故,復名[2]摩伽婆。」
佛告比丘:「彼釋提
T02n0099_p0291a03:桓因本為人時,名摩伽婆故,釋提桓因即
T02n0099_p0291a04:以本名,名摩伽婆。」
比丘復白佛言:「何因、何
T02n0099_p0291a05:緣復名[3]娑婆婆?」
佛告比丘:「彼釋提桓因本
T02n0099_p0291a06:為人時,數以[4]婆詵私衣布施供養。以是因
T02n0099_p0291a07:緣故,釋提桓因名娑婆婆。」
比丘復白佛言:
T02n0099_p0291a08:「世尊!何因、何緣釋提桓因復名憍尸迦?」
佛
T02n0099_p0291a09:告比丘:「彼釋提桓因本為人時,為憍尸族
T02n0099_p0291a10:姓人。以是因緣故,彼釋提桓因復名憍尸
T02n0099_p0291a11:迦。」
比丘問佛言:「世尊!何因、何緣彼釋提桓
T02n0099_p0291a12:因名[5]舍脂鉢低?」
佛告比丘:「彼阿修羅女名
T02n0099_p0291a13:曰舍脂,為天帝釋第一天后,是故帝釋名
T02n0099_p0291a14:舍脂鉢低。」
比丘白佛言:「世尊!何因、何緣釋
T02n0099_p0291a15:提桓因復名千眼?」
佛告比丘:「彼釋提桓因本
T02n0099_p0291a16:為人時,聰明智慧,於一坐間,思千種義,觀
T02n0099_p0291a17:察稱量。以是因緣,彼天帝釋復名千眼。」

T02n0099_p0291a18:丘白佛:「何因、何緣彼釋提桓因復名因提
T02n0099_p0291a19:利?」
佛告比丘:「彼天帝釋於諸三十三天,為
T02n0099_p0291a20:王為主。以是因緣故,彼天帝釋名因提利。」
T02n0099_p0291a21:佛告比丘:「然彼釋提桓因本為人時,受持
T02n0099_p0291a22:七種受。以是因緣,得天帝釋。何等為七?
T02n0099_p0291a23:釋提桓因本為人時,供養父母;乃至等行
T02n0099_p0291a24:惠施,是為七種受。以是因緣,為天帝釋。」
爾
T02n0099_p0291a25:時,世尊即說偈言……如上廣說。
佛說此經已,

一時,佛住鞞舍離國獼猴
T02n0099_p0291a28:池側重閣講堂。
爾時,世尊告諸比丘:「過去世
T02n0099_p0291a29:時,有一[7]夜叉鬼,醜陋惡色,在帝釋空座上
T02n0099_p0291b01:坐。[8]三十三天見此鬼醜陋惡色,在帝釋空
T02n0099_p0291b02:座上坐。見已,咸各瞋恚。諸天如是極瞋恚已,
T02n0099_p0291b03:彼鬼如是如是隨瞋恚漸漸端正。
「時,三十
T02n0099_p0291b04:三天往詣天帝[9]釋,白帝釋言:『憍尸迦!當
T02n0099_p0291b05:知有一異鬼,醜陋惡色,在天王空座上坐,我
T02n0099_p0291b06:等諸天見彼鬼醜陋惡色,[10]坐天王座,極生
T02n0099_p0291b07:瞋恚,隨[11]彼諸天瞋恚,彼鬼隨漸端正。』釋提
T02n0099_p0291b08:桓因告諸三十三天:『彼是瞋恚對治鬼。』
「爾時,
T02n0099_p0291b09:天帝釋自往彼鬼所,整衣服,偏袒右肩,合
T02n0099_p0291b10:掌三稱名字[12]而言:『仁者!我是釋提桓因。』隨
T02n0099_p0291b11:釋提桓因如是恭敬下意,彼鬼如是如是
T02n0099_p0291b12:隨漸醜陋,即復不現。
「時,釋提桓因自坐已,
T02n0099_p0291b13:而說偈言:

一時,佛住舍衛國祇樹給

爾時,世尊晨朝著衣持鉢,入舍衛
T02n0099_p0291b26:城乞食。乞食已,還精舍,舉衣鉢,洗足已,
T02n0099_p0291b27:持尼師壇,著右肩上,至安陀林,布尼師壇,
T02n0099_p0291b28:坐一樹下,入[14]晝正受。
爾時,祇[15]桓中有兩比
T02n0099_p0291b29:丘諍起,一人罵詈,一人默然。其罵詈者,即
T02n0099_p0291c01:便改悔懺謝於彼,而彼比丘不受其懺,以
T02n0099_p0291c02:不受懺故。時,精舍中眾多比丘共相勸諫,高
T02n0099_p0291c03:聲閙亂。
爾時,世尊以淨天耳過於人耳,聞
T02n0099_p0291c04:祇[*]桓中高聲閙亂。聞已,從禪覺,還精舍,於
T02n0099_p0291c05:大眾前敷座而坐,告諸比丘:「我今晨朝乞
T02n0099_p0291c06:食,還至安陀林,坐禪[16]入晝正受,聞精舍中
T02n0099_p0291c07:高聲大聲,紛紜閙亂,竟為是誰?」
比丘白佛:
T02n0099_p0291c08:「此精舍中有二比丘諍起,一比丘罵,一者
T02n0099_p0291c09:默然。時,罵比丘尋向悔謝,而彼不受。緣不
T02n0099_p0291c10:受故,多人勸諫,故致大聲,高聲閙亂。」
佛告
T02n0099_p0291c11:比丘:「云何?比丘!愚癡之人,人向悔謝,不受
T02n0099_p0291c12:其懺,若人懺而不受者,是愚癡人,長夜當
T02n0099_p0291c13:得不饒益苦。諸比丘!過去世時,釋提桓因
T02n0099_p0291c14:有三十三天共諍,說偈教誡言:

T02n0099_p0292a03:羅阿修羅王:『莫得各各共相殺害,但當論
T02n0099_p0292a04:[3]議,理屈者伏。』毘摩質多羅阿修羅王言:『設共
T02n0099_p0292a05:論[*]議,誰當證知理之通塞?』天帝釋言:『諸天
T02n0099_p0292a06:眾中自有智慧明記識者,阿修羅眾亦復自
T02n0099_p0292a07:有明記識者。』毘摩質多羅阿修羅言:『可爾。』
T02n0099_p0292a08:釋提桓因言:『汝等可先立論,[4]然後我當隨
T02n0099_p0292a09:後立論,則不為難。』
「時,毘摩質多羅阿修羅

T02n0099_p0292b05:人長夜鬪訟戰諍;釋提桓因所說偈,長夜終
T02n0099_p0292b06:竟息於鬪訟戰諍,當知天帝釋長夜教人
T02n0099_p0292b07:息於鬪訟戰諍,當知帝釋善論得勝。』」
佛告
T02n0099_p0292b08:諸比丘:「釋提桓因以善論[*]議伏阿修羅。諸
T02n0099_p0292b09:比丘!釋提桓因於三十三天為自在王,立
T02n0099_p0292b10:於善論,讚歎善論。汝[9]等比丘亦應如是,
T02n0099_p0292b11:正信非家,出家學道,亦當善論,讚歎善論,
T02n0099_p0292b12:應當學!」
佛說此經已,諸比丘聞佛所說,歡

爾時,世尊告諸比丘:「過去世時,有天
T02n0099_p0292b16:帝釋,天、阿修羅對陣欲戰。釋提桓因語三十
T02n0099_p0292b17:三天眾言:『今日諸天與阿修羅軍戰,諸天
T02n0099_p0292b18:得勝,阿修羅不如者,當生擒毘摩質多羅
T02n0099_p0292b19:阿修羅王,以五繫縛,將還天宮。』毘摩質多
T02n0099_p0292b20:羅阿修羅王告阿修羅眾:『今日諸天、阿修羅
T02n0099_p0292b21:共戰,若阿修羅勝,諸天不如者,當生擒釋
T02n0099_p0292b22:提桓因,以五繫縛,將還阿修羅宮。』當其戰
T02n0099_p0292b23:時,諸天得勝,阿修羅不如。
「時,彼諸天捉得
T02n0099_p0292b24:毘摩質多羅阿修羅王,以五繫縛,將還天
T02n0099_p0292b25:宮,縛在帝釋斷法殿前門下。帝釋從此門
T02n0099_p0292b26:入出之時,毘摩質多羅阿修羅縛在門側瞋
T02n0099_p0292b27:恚罵詈。
「時,帝釋御者見阿修羅王,身被五
T02n0099_p0292b28:縛,在於門側,帝釋出入之時輒瞋恚罵詈。見
T02n0099_p0292b29:已即便說偈,白帝釋言:

T02n0099_p0293a08:車,往白帝釋:『唯!俱尸迦!嚴駕已竟,[3]唯王知
T02n0099_p0293a09:時。』天帝釋即下[4]常勝殿,東向合掌禮佛。

T02n0099_p0293c11:車。御者受教,即嚴駕已,還白帝釋:『乘已嚴

「爾時,帝釋從常勝殿來下,
T02n0099_p0293c13:周向諸方,合掌恭敬。
「時,彼御者見天帝釋
T02n0099_p0293c14:從殿來下,住於中庭,周向諸方,合掌恭敬。
T02n0099_p0293c15:見已驚怖,馬鞭落地,而說偈言:

T02n0099_p0294a16:修羅王興四種兵——象兵、馬兵、車兵、步兵。[4]時,
T02n0099_p0294a17:三十三天欲共鬪戰。時,天帝釋聞阿修羅王
T02n0099_p0294a18:興四種兵——象兵、馬兵、車兵、步兵,來欲[5]共戰。
T02n0099_p0294a19:聞已,即告[6]宿毘梨天子言:『阿公知不?阿修
T02n0099_p0294a20:羅興四種兵——象兵、馬兵、車兵、步兵,欲與三
T02n0099_p0294a21:十三天共戰。阿公可勅三十三天興四種
T02n0099_p0294a22:兵——象兵、馬兵、車兵、步兵,與彼阿修羅共戰。』爾
T02n0099_p0294a23:時,宿毘梨天子受帝釋教,還自天宮,慢緩寬
T02n0099_p0294a24:縱,不勤方便。
「阿修羅眾已出在道路,帝釋
T02n0099_p0294a25:聞已,復告宿毘梨天子:『阿公!阿修羅軍已
T02n0099_p0294a26:在道路,阿公可速告令起四種兵與阿修
T02n0099_p0294a27:羅戰。』宿毘梨天子受帝釋教已,即復還宮,
T02n0099_p0294a28:懈怠寬縱。
「時,阿修羅王軍已垂至,釋提桓因
T02n0099_p0294a29:聞阿修羅軍已在近路,復告宿毘梨天子:
T02n0099_p0294b01:『阿公知不?阿修羅[7]軍已在近路,阿公!速告
T02n0099_p0294b02:諸天起四種兵。』
「時,宿毘梨天子即說偈言:

T02n0099_p0294c26:諸仙人,亦不問訊。看已,還出。
「時,有一仙人

T02n0099_p0294c28:園,看已,還出。見已,語諸仙人言:『此何等人?
T02n0099_p0294c29:有不調伏色,不似人形,非威儀法,似田

T02n0099_p0295a02:觀看,亦不顧眄問訊諸仙人。』有一仙人答

T02n0099_p0295a04:看而去。』彼仙人言:『此非賢士,不好不善,非

「時,釋提桓因除去五飾,入
T02n0099_p0295a08:仙人住處,與諸仙人面相問訊慰勞,然後

「復有仙人見天帝釋除去五飾,入
T02n0099_p0295a10:於園門,周遍問訊。見已,問諸仙人:『此是何人?
T02n0099_p0295a11:入於園林,有調伏色,有可適人色,有威儀
T02n0099_p0295a12:色,非田舍兒,似族姓子,除去五飾,來入
T02n0099_p0295a13:園門,周遍問訊,然後還出。』有仙人答言:『此
T02n0099_p0295a14:是天帝釋,除去五飾,來入園門,周遍問訊,
T02n0099_p0295a15:然後還去。』彼仙人言:『此是賢士,善好真

T02n0099_p0295c15:月八日、十四日、十五日,及神變月,受戒布薩?』
T02n0099_p0295c16:至十四日,遣太子下,觀察世間:『為何等人
T02n0099_p0295c17:供養父母,乃至受戒布薩?』至十五日,四大
T02n0099_p0295c18:天王自下世間,觀察眾生:『為何等人供養
T02n0099_p0295c19:父母,乃至受戒布薩?』諸比丘!爾時,世間無
T02n0099_p0295c20:有多人供養父母,乃至受戒布薩者。
「時,四天
T02n0099_p0295c21:王即往詣三十三天集法講堂,白天帝釋:『天
T02n0099_p0295c22:王當知,今諸世間,無有多人供養父母,乃
T02n0099_p0295c23:至受戒布薩。』時,三十三天眾聞之不喜,轉相
T02n0099_p0295c24:告語:『今世間人,不賢不善,不好不類,無真
T02n0099_p0295c25:實行,不供養父母,乃至不受戒布薩。緣斯
T02n0099_p0295c26:罪故,諸天眾減,阿修羅眾當漸增廣。』

T02n0099_p0295c27:丘!爾時,世間若復多人供養父母,乃至受戒
T02n0099_p0295c28:布薩者,四天王至三十三天集法講堂,白天
T02n0099_p0295c29:帝釋:『天王當知,今諸世間,多有人民供養
T02n0099_p0296a01:父母,乃至受戒布薩。』時,三十三天心皆歡喜,
T02n0099_p0296a02:轉相告語:『今諸世間,賢[1]聖真實如法,多有
T02n0099_p0296a03:人民供養父母,乃至受戒布薩。緣斯福德,
T02n0099_p0296a04:阿修羅眾減,諸天眾[2]增廣。』
「時,天帝釋知諸

T02n0099_p0296b02:羅語帝釋言:『我當還問諸阿修羅眾,聽我
T02n0099_p0296b03:者,當授帝釋阿修羅幻法。』
「爾時,毘摩質多羅
T02n0099_p0296b04:阿修羅即往至諸阿修羅眾中,語諸阿修
T02n0099_p0296b05:羅言:『諸人當知,我今疾病困篤,往詣釋提
T02n0099_p0296b06:桓因所,求彼治病。彼語我言:「汝能授我阿
T02n0099_p0296b07:修羅幻法者,當治汝病,令得安隱。」我今
T02n0099_p0296b08:當往為彼說阿修羅幻法。』
「時,有一詐偽阿
T02n0099_p0296b09:修羅語毘摩質多羅阿修羅:『其彼天帝釋質
T02n0099_p0296b10:直好信不虛偽,但語彼言:「天王!此阿修羅
T02n0099_p0296b11:幻法,若學者,令人墮地獄,受罪無量百千
T02n0099_p0296b12:歲。」彼天帝釋必當息意,不復求學,當言:「汝
T02n0099_p0296b13:去!令汝病[6]差,可得安隱!」』
「時,毘摩質多羅阿
T02n0099_p0296b14:修羅復往帝釋所,說偈白言:
T02n0099_p0296b15:T02n0099_p0296b16:T02n0099_p0296b17: T02n0099_p0296b18:「時,天帝釋語毘摩質多羅阿修羅言:『止!止!
T02n0099_p0296b19:如是幻術,非我所須,汝且還去,令汝身病
T02n0099_p0296b20:寂滅休息,得力安隱!』」
佛告諸比丘:「釋提桓
T02n0099_p0296b21:因於三十三天為自在王,長夜真實,不幻不
T02n0099_p0296b22:偽,賢善質直。汝等比丘正信非家,出家學道,
T02n0099_p0296b23:亦應如是不幻不偽,賢善質直,當如是學。」
T02n0099_p0296b24:佛說此經已,諸比丘聞佛所說,歡喜奉行。

T02n0099_p0296b29:時,天帝釋及鞞盧闍那子婆稚阿修羅王,身
T02n0099_p0296c01:諸光明,普照祇樹給孤獨園。」

T02n0099_p0296c28:報加惱於彼。」』時,毘摩質多羅阿修羅王聞天
T02n0099_p0296c29:帝釋受如是戒:『乃至佛法住世,盡其形壽,
T02n0099_p0297a01:有惱我者,我不反報加惱於彼。』聞已,執持
T02n0099_p0297a02:利劍,逆道而來。
「時,天帝釋遙見毘摩質多
T02n0099_p0297a03:羅阿修羅王執持利劍,逆道而來,即遙告
T02n0099_p0297a04:言:『阿修羅!住!縛汝勿動!』
「毘摩質多羅阿修
T02n0099_p0297a05:羅王即不得動,語帝釋言:『汝今豈不受如
T02n0099_p0297a06:是戒:「若佛法住世,盡其形壽,有惱我者,
T02n0099_p0297a07:必不還報。」耶?』天帝釋答言:『我實受如是
T02n0099_p0297a08:戒,但汝[1]息住受縛。』阿修羅言:『今且放我!』
T02n0099_p0297a09:帝釋答言:『汝若約誓不作亂者,然後放汝。』
T02n0099_p0297a10:阿修羅言:『放我當如法作。』帝釋答言:『先如

T02n0099_p0297a23:修羅言:「汝不受戒耶?」我即答言:「我實受戒,

T02n0099_p0297a25:「若作約誓不作亂者,當令汝脫。」阿修羅
T02n0099_p0297a26:言:「且當放我,當說約誓。」我即告言:「先說
T02n0099_p0297a27:約誓,然後放汝。」彼即說偈,作約誓言:

T02n0099_p0297b04:帝[4]釋:『善哉!善哉!汝要彼約誓,如法不違,彼
T02n0099_p0297b05:亦不復敢作嬈亂。』爾時,天帝釋聞佛所說,
T02n0099_p0297b06:歡喜隨喜,作禮而去。」
T02n0099_p0297b07:爾時,世尊告諸比丘:「彼天帝釋於三十三
T02n0099_p0297b08:天為自在王,不為嬈亂,亦常讚歎不嬈亂
T02n0099_p0297b09:法。汝等比丘正信非家,出家學道,亦應如
T02n0099_p0297b10:是行不嬈亂,亦當讚歎不擾亂法。」
