ZW05n0046_p0047a25:經七日已,乃從定起;於初夜分,順思緣起之法:「此
ZW05n0046_p0048a01:有故彼有,此生故彼生。緣無明有行,緣行有識,緣識有
ZW05n0046_p0048a02:名色,緣名色有六處,緣六處有觸,緣觸有受,緣受有愛,
ZW05n0046_p0048a03:緣愛有取,緣取有有,緣有有生,緣生有老、死、憂、悲、
ZW05n0046_p0048a04:苦、惱、辛;如是苦集如是而生。」
ZW05n0046_p0048a05:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興自說此偈:

ZW05n0046_p0048a16:滅,受滅則愛滅,愛滅則取滅,取滅則有滅,有滅則生滅,
ZW05n0046_p0048a17:生滅則老、死、憂、悲、苦、惱、辛滅;苦集如是而滅。」
ZW05n0046_p0048a18:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興自說此偈:

ZW05n0046_p0049a17:尼連禪河畔尼拘陀榕樹下。爾時,世尊七日單跏趺坐,
ZW05n0046_p0049a18:享解脫之樂。
ZW05n0046_p0049a19:七日已,乃從定起。時有一婆羅門來至佛所,與佛
ZW05n0046_p0049a20:歡聚。友善話語已畢,站立一旁,而問佛言:
ZW05n0046_p0049a21:「尊敬的喬答摩,何謂婆羅門?婆羅門當為之法是
ZW05n0046_p0049a22:何?」
ZW05n0046_p0049a23:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說此偈:
ZW05n0046_p0049a24: ZW05n0046_p0049a26:ZW05n0046_p0050a01:五、長老經
ZW05n0046_p0050a02:如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
ZW05n0046_p0050a03:爾時,舍利弗尊者,大目連尊者,大迦葉尊者,大迦旃延
ZW05n0046_p0050a04:尊者,大拘致羅尊者,大卡比那尊者,大純陀尊者,阿努
ZW05n0046_p0050a05:律陀尊者,離越尊者,阿難尊者,來至佛所。世尊遙見諸
ZW05n0046_p0050a06:比丘走來,曰:「諸比丘,彼等婆羅門來。」爾時,一婆羅族
ZW05n0046_p0050a07:比丘問世尊:「世尊,何謂婆羅門?何謂婆羅門所行之
ZW05n0046_p0050a08:法?」
ZW05n0046_p0050a09:爾時世尊,如是知已,發此感興:
ZW05n0046_p0050a10: ZW05n0046_p0050a12:ZW05n0046_p0050a13:六、迦葉經
ZW05n0046_p0050a14:如是我聞:一時,世尊在王舍城竹林迦藍陀園住。
ZW05n0046_p0050a15:爾時,大迦葉尊者住於畢鉢羅窟,病重痛苦。後病癒自
ZW05n0046_p0050a16:思:「我當入王舍城乞食。」
ZW05n0046_p0050a17:爾時五百天女踴躍而至,請尊者托鉢受食。大迦葉
ZW05n0046_p0050a18:拒絕五百天女,於朝時著衣持鉢,入王舍城,向窮困之
ZW05n0046_p0050a19:人、織工住區托鉢。
ZW05n0046_p0050a20:爾時世尊,見大迦葉尊者在王舍城窮困之人、織工
ZW05n0046_p0050a21:住區托鉢乞食,即興說出此偈:
ZW05n0046_p0050a22: ZW05n0046_p0050a24:ZW05n0046_p0051a01:七、巴瓦經
ZW05n0046_p0051a02:如是我聞:一時,世尊在巴瓦城阿闍迦拉波迦鬼庵
ZW05n0046_p0051a03:住。爾時,世尊於黑夜坐於露天,有雨滴降落。阿闍迦
ZW05n0046_p0051a04:拉波迦鬼欲恐嚇世尊,使世尊毛豎膽驚,即來見佛。走
ZW05n0046_p0051a05:近佛時,便發出怪音:「阿古拉巴古拉!」如此三次。又
ZW05n0046_p0051a06:說:「惡鬼來了!」
ZW05n0046_p0051a07:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興說此偈陀:
ZW05n0046_p0051a08: ZW05n0046_p0051a10:ZW05n0046_p0051a11:八、戰勝經
ZW05n0046_p0051a12:如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇陀林給孤獨園住。
ZW05n0046_p0051a13:爾時,桑迦瑪吉尊者來捨衛城探望世尊。尊者舊時妻得
ZW05n0046_p0051a14:知尊者已到捨衛城,便攜子來至祇園。時尊者正在一棵
ZW05n0046_p0051a15:樹下休息。妻來到尊者面前告尊者言:「沙門,我們已有
ZW05n0046_p0051a16:此兒,汝當養活我們。」尊者默然不語,舊時妻便把兒子
ZW05n0046_p0051a17:放在尊者面前,並說:「此乃汝子,當由汝養。」說完,便自
ZW05n0046_p0051a18:離去。
ZW05n0046_p0051a19:尊者不視此兒,亦不與語。舊時妻未走甚遠,回頭
ZW05n0046_p0051a20:察視,見尊者既不視兒,亦不與語,自知沙門並無憐子之
ZW05n0046_p0051a21:意,即抱子而去。
ZW05n0046_p0051a22:世尊以清淨天眼,觀見尊者舊時妻之行徑。爾時世
ZW05n0046_p0051a23:尊,如是知已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0052a03:如是我聞:一時,佛在伽耶城住。爾時,螺髮外道徒
ZW05n0046_p0052a04:眾於寒冷之冬夜雪天,在伽耶河中或沉或浮,撩水、祭
ZW05n0046_p0052a05:火,以為以此可得聖潔。
ZW05n0046_p0052a06:爾時世尊見彼螺髮外道徒眾,於寒冷之冬夜雪天,
ZW05n0046_p0052a07:在伽耶河中或沉或浮,撩水、祭火,以為以此可得聖潔。
ZW05n0046_p0052a08:爾時,世尊如是知已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0052a13:如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
ZW05n0046_p0052a14:爾時,人稱「樹皮衣修行者」的婆希住於沿海的蘇帕拉卡
ZW05n0046_p0052a15:渡口。受人供養,受人尊重;衣、食、住、藥俱可得到。時
ZW05n0046_p0052a16:婆希閒坐於僻靜處,心生一念:「世上如有羅漢或進入羅
ZW05n0046_p0052a17:漢道者,我乃其中之一。」爾時有一天神,往世曾為婆希
ZW05n0046_p0052a18:親戚,心懷同情,樂於助人;知婆希所念,來至婆希住所,
ZW05n0046_p0052a19:告曰:「婆希,汝非羅漢,亦未登羅漢果位。汝既無羅漢
ZW05n0046_p0052a20:行,亦無修羅漢道之行。」婆希問道:「現前誰是人天界之
ZW05n0046_p0052a21:阿羅漢?誰是修證羅漢道者?」天神答曰:「北方邦國有
ZW05n0046_p0052a22:舍衛城,那裏有成正等正覺的阿羅漢。婆希,那位佛世
ZW05n0046_p0052a23:尊還講說修成阿羅漢之正法。」
ZW05n0046_p0052a24:爾時婆希為天神所動,即刻從蘇帕拉卡出發;僅一
ZW05n0046_p0052a25:夜時間,便經過一切必經之地,到達舍衛城祇樹給孤獨
ZW05n0046_p0052a26:精舍。爾時,諸比丘正在野外經行,婆希即到諸比丘處
ZW05n0046_p0053a01:向諸比丘詢問:「大德,那位薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩提
ZW05n0046_p0053a02:現在何處?我甚想拜謁那位薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩
ZW05n0046_p0053a03:提。」諸比丘答曰:「婆希,世尊已入城托鉢。」
ZW05n0046_p0053a04:婆希即刻離開祇園,入舍衛城,見世尊托鉢乞食,遊
ZW05n0046_p0053a05:行於城內。見世尊可親可敬,諸根寂靜,精神平和,自攝
ZW05n0046_p0053a06:自護,威儀妙好,一大龍象。如是見已,近至佛處,頭面
ZW05n0046_p0053a07:禮足而白佛言:「大德世尊,請為我說法;善逝,請為我說
ZW05n0046_p0053a08:長遠利益安樂之法。」
ZW05n0046_p0053a09:婆希如是說已,世尊告言:「婆希,此非宜時,以入城
ZW05n0046_p0053a10:乞食故。」婆希再告佛言:「大德,世尊有命難或我有命難
ZW05n0046_p0053a11:實為難知。大德世尊,請為我說法;善逝,請為我說長遠
ZW05n0046_p0053a12:利益安樂之法。」世尊再次告言:「婆希,此非宜時,以入
ZW05n0046_p0053a13:城乞食故。」婆希三告佛言:「大德,世尊有命難或我有命
ZW05n0046_p0053a14:難實為難知。大德世尊,請為我說法;善逝,請為我說長
ZW05n0046_p0053a15:遠利益安樂之法。」
ZW05n0046_p0053a16:爾時,世尊說道:「婆希,汝當學此法:見唯是見,聞
ZW05n0046_p0053a17:唯是聞,知唯是知,想唯是想。婆希,此為汝當學之法。
ZW05n0046_p0053a18:婆希,汝能於見時,唯是見;於聞時,唯是聞;於知時,唯
ZW05n0046_p0053a19:是知;於想時,唯是想。如是,汝可無貪無執;汝既無貪
ZW05n0046_p0053a20:無執,汝於此世便無再生;於下世,於此世及下世皆無再
ZW05n0046_p0053a21:生。此即是苦盡。」
ZW05n0046_p0053a22:婆希聽世尊簡短說教,執著頓消,諸漏盡斷,心得解
ZW05n0046_p0053a23:脫。
ZW05n0046_p0053a24:爾時世尊向婆希說此簡短教法已,便自離去。
ZW05n0046_p0053a25:世尊離去未久,有一帶犢母牛,將婆希觝死於地。
ZW05n0046_p0054a01:時世尊在捨衛城托鉢,得食用齋已,與比丘眾離城
ZW05n0046_p0054a02:回返,於途中見婆希已死。既見,即告眾比丘曰:「汝等
ZW05n0046_p0054a03:將婆希屍體安放榻上運去荼毗,建塔供奉。諸比丘,此死
ZW05n0046_p0054a04:者是一位梵行者。」眾比丘答曰:「如是,世尊。」眾比丘
ZW05n0046_p0054a05:遵囑將婆希屍體安放榻上,運去荼毗,並造塔後,回稟世
ZW05n0046_p0054a06:尊,行禮已畢,坐在一旁。坐已,即問世尊:「大德,婆希
ZW05n0046_p0054a07:屍體已經火化,並已建塔;但不知他有何德行,來世又將
ZW05n0046_p0054a08:如何。」佛曰:「諸比丘,婆希是一位賢者,曾依聖法而行,
ZW05n0046_p0054a09:並未以問法而惱難於我。諸比丘,婆希已入涅槃。」
ZW05n0046_p0054a10:世尊如是說已,即興出此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0055a01:享解脫之樂。七日已,非時雲起,大雨突降,寒風來侵,
ZW05n0046_p0055a02:持續七日。時目真鄰陀龍王從其居處來至佛所,以身繞
ZW05n0046_p0055a03:佛,七重卷之;驤首張頸,覆護佛頂。龍王自念言:「寒氣
ZW05n0046_p0055a04:莫侵世尊,暑氣莫侵世尊;蠅、蚊、熱風、爬蟲莫侵世尊。」
ZW05n0046_p0055a05:如是經七日,世尊始從定起。
ZW05n0046_p0055a06:爾時目真鄰陀龍王知天晴無雲,乃解卷體;龍身消
ZW05n0046_p0055a07:失,化為青年,立於佛前,合掌禮拜。
ZW05n0046_p0055a08:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0055a16:爾時,諸比丘托鉢已回,飯食已畢,於堂室集坐閒敘:「摩
ZW05n0046_p0055a17:揭陀國賽尼亞.頻毗沙羅王與憍薩羅國波斯匿王相比,
ZW05n0046_p0055a18:誰多財物,誰多用品,誰多寶藏,誰多疆土,誰多車乘,誰
ZW05n0046_p0055a19:多軍力,誰多神通,誰多威武?」諸比丘眾如是談論,未有
ZW05n0046_p0055a20:終止。
ZW05n0046_p0055a21:爾時已近黃昏,世尊從定起坐,來至堂室,敷座而
ZW05n0046_p0055a22:坐,問比丘眾:「諸比丘堂室集坐,有何言論?汝等談論
ZW05n0046_p0055a23:未終之事是何等事?」比丘眾白佛言:「大德世尊,我等托
ZW05n0046_p0055a24:鉢已回,飯食已畢,堂室集坐,閒話談敘:摩揭陀國王賽
ZW05n0046_p0055a25:尼亞.頻毗沙羅王與憍薩羅國波斯匿王相比,誰多財物,
ZW05n0046_p0056a01:誰多用品,誰多寶藏,誰多疆土,誰多車乘,誰多軍力,誰
ZW05n0046_p0056a02:多神通,誰多威武。未終之時,世尊至此」。世尊曰:「諸
ZW05n0046_p0056a03:比丘,族姓子虔誠出家,加入僧團,如是談論,實不應該。
ZW05n0046_p0056a04:諸比丘,汝等集坐一處,當做之事有二,一是談說法事,
ZW05n0046_p0056a05:二是保持聖潔,沉默不語」。
ZW05n0046_p0056a06:世尊如是說已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0056a13:時,世尊著衣持鉢,往捨衛城乞食。於舍衛城與祇陀林
ZW05n0046_p0056a14:間見童眾以杖擊蛇。
ZW05n0046_p0056a15:爾時世尊,如是見已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0056a25:爾時世尊受人供養,受人尊重;得衣物飲食、臥具、藥品
ZW05n0046_p0057a01:及種種什物。僧團眾比丘亦受人供養,受人尊重;得衣
ZW05n0046_p0057a02:物飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。而諸外道不受人供養,
ZW05n0046_p0057a03:不受人尊重;不得衣物飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。彼
ZW05n0046_p0057a04:等不能安忍於世尊及眾比丘得諸供養;於村莊、森林見
ZW05n0046_p0057a05:諸比丘,即責難、辱罵,語言低級粗俗。時諸比丘即往佛
ZW05n0046_p0057a06:所,行禮已畢,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,當今之
ZW05n0046_p0057a07:世,世尊受人供養,受人尊重;得衣物飲食、臥具、藥品及
ZW05n0046_p0057a08:種種什物。僧團眾比丘亦受人供養,受人尊重;得衣物
ZW05n0046_p0057a09:飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。而諸外道不受人供養,不
ZW05n0046_p0057a10:受人尊重;不得衣物飲食、臥具、藥品及種種什物。彼等
ZW05n0046_p0057a11:不能安忍於世尊及眾比丘得諸供養;於村莊、森林見諸
ZW05n0046_p0057a12:比丘,即責難、辱罵,語言低級粗俗。」

ZW05n0046_p0057a20:爾時,伊茶那格拉居士因事入舍衛城。居士在舍衛城事
ZW05n0046_p0057a21:畢,來至佛所,禮佛已畢,站立一旁。世尊問曰:「汝已久
ZW05n0046_p0057a22:欲來此。」居士白佛言:「大德世尊,我思念來此見佛時日
ZW05n0046_p0057a23:已久,祇因事務纏身,未能早來。」
ZW05n0046_p0057a24:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0058a05:如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
ZW05n0046_p0058a06:爾時,一外道之年輕妻子懷孕臨產。時妻對夫言:「婆羅
ZW05n0046_p0058a07:門,去取油來,以助我產。」外道聞言答曰:「我從何處可
ZW05n0046_p0058a08:取油來?」妻再對夫言:「去,婆羅門,取些油來,以助我
ZW05n0046_p0058a09:產。」外道再次答曰:「我從何處可取油來?」外道妻三次
ZW05n0046_p0058a10:對外道言:「你去,婆羅門,取些油來,以助我產。」
ZW05n0046_p0058a11:爾時,憍薩國波斯匿王之庫房中奶油酥油
ZW05n0046_p0058a12:等各種油類十分充足,可供沙門、婆羅門敞開食用,唯不准帶出。
ZW05n0046_p0058a13:爾時外道心想:「波斯匿王庫中奶油酥油等各種油類十
ZW05n0046_p0058a14:分充足,可供沙門、婆羅門敞開食用,唯不准帶出。我何
ZW05n0046_p0058a15:不到波斯匿王庫中儘量足飲,回家後嘔出,可助妻產。」
ZW05n0046_p0058a16:時外道來到波斯匿王庫中,足飲其油;急回家中,但
ZW05n0046_p0058a17:不能嘔出,亦不能瀉下,痛苦難熬,滿地翻滾。爾時世尊
ZW05n0046_p0058a18:於晨時著衣持鉢,入舍衛城乞食,見彼婆羅門痛苦難熬,
ZW05n0046_p0058a19:滿地翻滾。爾時世尊,如是見已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0058a25:如是我聞:世尊在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。時一居
ZW05n0046_p0059a01:士有一獨生子,可親可愛,卻遭夭亡。時眾多居士身著
ZW05n0046_p0059a02:濕衣,頭有濕髮,正午時分來至佛所。既至,禮拜世尊,
ZW05n0046_p0059a03:站立一旁。佛問諸居士曰:「諸位居士濕衣濕髮,於此中
ZW05n0046_p0059a04:午,來此為何?」
ZW05n0046_p0059a05:彼居士即白佛言:「大德世尊,我之獨子可親可愛,
ZW05n0046_p0059a06:卻遭夭亡。以是之故,我等濕衣濕髮,於此午時來此。」
ZW05n0046_p0059a07:爾時,世尊聽已,即興說此偈陀:

ZW05n0046_p0060a01:佛所,行禮已畢,坐於一旁,白世尊道:「大德,拘利耶王
ZW05n0046_p0060a02:女蘇波婆沙公主頂禮佛足,祝世尊無病無災,輕安健康。
ZW05n0046_p0060a03:蘇波婆沙懷胎七載,難產七日,痛苦難熬;而以三念,得
ZW05n0046_p0060a04:以安忍:念世尊正遍知說法滅苦;念世尊聲聞弟子行為
ZW05n0046_p0060a05:妙好,拔除此苦;念涅槃沒有這般痛苦,祇有最上安樂。」
ZW05n0046_p0060a06:世尊答言:「祝拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙安樂無恙,無諸
ZW05n0046_p0060a07:痛苦,產出無病嬰兒。」世尊說已,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙
ZW05n0046_p0060a08:即安樂無恙,產出無病嬰兒。
ZW05n0046_p0060a09:拘利耶王子聞聽佛語,歡喜信受,從座而起,向世尊
ZW05n0046_p0060a10:行右繞之禮,禮已,回到王宮。既回,見拘利耶王女蘇波
ZW05n0046_p0060a11:婆沙安樂無恙,已生出一無病嬰兒。既見,即生此念:
ZW05n0046_p0060a12:「拘利耶王女應佛之言,康安無恙,產出嬰兒。如來真有
ZW05n0046_p0060a13:大神通,大威力,真奇妙無比。」王子心滿意足,興高采
ZW05n0046_p0060a14:烈。
ZW05n0046_p0060a15:於時蘇波婆沙對夫言道:「王子請來,請去世尊所,
ZW05n0046_p0060a16:代我頂禮佛足,稟報世尊:『拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙懷胎七
ZW05n0046_p0060a17:載,難產七日;現已產出一無病嬰兒。她欲設七日之齋
ZW05n0046_p0060a18:飯,供養世尊及僧眾;敬請世尊及僧眾受此齋供。』」
ZW05n0046_p0060a19:拘利耶王子遵拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙之囑,來至佛
ZW05n0046_p0060a20:所,施禮已畢,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,拘利耶
ZW05n0046_p0060a21:王女蘇波婆沙頂禮佛足。拘利耶王女懷胎七載,難產七
ZW05n0046_p0060a22:日;現安好無恙,已產下一無病嬰兒。她欲設七日齋,供
ZW05n0046_p0060a23:世尊及僧眾。恭請世尊接受拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙之
ZW05n0046_p0060a24:請。」時有一居士,已確定次日向佛及僧眾供齋。此居士
ZW05n0046_p0060a25:乃大目犍連尊者之供養人。於是世尊對目犍連曰:「目
ZW05n0046_p0061a01:犍連,汝來!去那居士住所對他說:『壽者,拘利耶王女
ZW05n0046_p0061a02:蘇波婆沙懷胎七載,難產七日,現已安好無恙,產一無病
ZW05n0046_p0061a03:嬰兒。她欲設七日之齋,供佛及僧。現當隨她供齋之
ZW05n0046_p0061a04:願,汝其後可辦。』那居士是汝之供養人。」
ZW05n0046_p0061a05:「如是世尊!」大目犍連遵囑到居士所,而告之曰:
ZW05n0046_p0061a06:「壽者,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙懷胎七載,難產七日,現她
ZW05n0046_p0061a07:安好無恙,產一無病健兒。她欲設七日之齋,供佛及僧。
ZW05n0046_p0061a08:現當隨她供齋之願,汝其後可辦。」居士言:「若大目犍連
ZW05n0046_p0061a09:尊者答應護我財、命、信,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙可先供七
ZW05n0046_p0061a10:日之齋,我可在後。」大目犍連言:「我是汝財、命兩項之
ZW05n0046_p0061a11:護者;至於『信』,汝當自護。」居士言:「大目犍連尊者是
ZW05n0046_p0061a12:我財、命兩項護者;拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙亦當先設七日
ZW05n0046_p0061a13:齋,我可在後。」
ZW05n0046_p0061a14:時大目犍連尊者告居士已,回至佛所而白世尊曰:
ZW05n0046_p0061a15:「大德世尊,我已告予居士,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙可供七
ZW05n0046_p0061a16:日之齋,彼可後辦。」
ZW05n0046_p0061a17:爾時,拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙自做甘美嚼食,請佛及
ZW05n0046_p0061a18:僧眾食用,盡於七日;並令嬰兒禮拜世尊及僧眾。
ZW05n0046_p0061a19:時舍利弗尊者問此兒曰:「孩兒,汝安好否?有無病
ZW05n0046_p0061a20:苦?」孩兒答言:「舍利弗尊者,我何能安好?何能無苦?
ZW05n0046_p0061a21:我在血盆中達七年之久!」
ZW05n0046_p0061a22:時拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙甚是喜悅,心想:「我兒已能
ZW05n0046_p0061a23:與尊者談話!」
ZW05n0046_p0061a24:爾時,世尊見拘利耶王女蘇波婆沙喜悅歡快,問到:
ZW05n0046_p0061a25:「蘇波婆沙,汝還想再得如是兒否?」蘇波婆沙答曰:「世
ZW05n0046_p0062a01:尊,我還想再得七如是兒。」
ZW05n0046_p0062a02:爾時世尊,聽得此言,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0062a09:而憍薩羅國王波斯匿未能依從。於是彌伽羅母毗舍佉
ZW05n0046_p0062a10:於中午時分來至佛所,禮世尊已,坐於一旁。時世尊問
ZW05n0046_p0062a11:曰:「毗舍佉,汝於此中午時分,從何處來此?」毗舍佉答
ZW05n0046_p0062a12:言:「大德世尊,我有事請求憍薩羅國王波斯匿辦理,而
ZW05n0046_p0062a13:波斯匿未能依我之願。」
ZW05n0046_p0062a14:爾時世尊,如是聽已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0062a19:如是我聞:一時,佛在阿努比耶城芒果林住。時有
ZW05n0046_p0062a20:卡利瞿陀王之子跋提耶者,或在林中,或在樹下,或在虛
ZW05n0046_p0062a21:室,常自發感興:「快哉!快哉」!時比丘眾或在林中,或
ZW05n0046_p0062a22:在樹下,或在虛室,常聞聽卡利瞿陀王之子跋提耶發此
ZW05n0046_p0062a23:感興。比丘眾想:「卡利瞿陀王之子跋提耶雖已出家,但
ZW05n0046_p0062a24:定是不喜梵行,常憶昔日在家之樂;故而或在林中,或在
ZW05n0046_p0062a25:樹下,或在虛室常自發此感興。」
ZW05n0046_p0063a01:時比丘眾即往佛所,施禮已畢,坐在一旁,白世尊
ZW05n0046_p0063a02:言:「大德,卡利瞿陀王子跋提耶或在林中,或在樹下,或
ZW05n0046_p0063a03:在虛室,常自發感興:快哉!快哉!無疑,卡利瞿陀王子
ZW05n0046_p0063a04:跋提耶肯定是不喜梵行,常憶昔日在家之樂,故常發此
ZW05n0046_p0063a05:感興。」
ZW05n0046_p0063a06:時世尊呼一比丘:「比丘汝來,去告跋提耶,如我言
ZW05n0046_p0063a07:說,招他來此。」比丘應一聲「如是世尊」,遵囑而去。至
ZW05n0046_p0063a08:卡利瞿陀王子跋提耶所,告曰:「跋提耶尊者,師招汝
ZW05n0046_p0063a09:往。」卡利瞿陀王子跋提耶應一聲「如是,尊者」,即往佛
ZW05n0046_p0063a10:所。既至,施禮已畢,坐在一旁。世尊問曰:「跋提耶,汝
ZW05n0046_p0063a11:或在林中,或在樹下,或在虛室,常自發感興:快哉!快
ZW05n0046_p0063a12:哉!果有此事?」跋提耶答曰:「如是,世尊。」世尊又問:
ZW05n0046_p0063a13:「跋提耶,汝或在林中,或在樹下,或在虛室,為何經常發
ZW05n0046_p0063a14:此感興?」
ZW05n0046_p0063a15:跋提耶答曰:「大德世尊,從前居家治國之時,宮內
ZW05n0046_p0063a16:宮外,皆有守備;城內城外,亦多護衛;國內國外,亦有防
ZW05n0046_p0063a17:所。雖然如此,我亦是終日恐懼戰慄,驚悸不安;而今我
ZW05n0046_p0063a18:獨居林中、樹下、虛室,卻無恐懼戰慄,驚悸不安之感。
ZW05n0046_p0063a19:少欲知足,心同遊鹿。故而我或在林中,或在樹下,或在
ZW05n0046_p0063a20:虛室,常自發感興:快哉!快哉!」
ZW05n0046_p0063a21:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0064a13:世尊如是見已,即興自說:

ZW05n0046_p0064a20:者,我不喜修持梵行,我將捨戒還俗。」時一比丘到世尊
ZW05n0046_p0064a21:所,禮世尊已,坐在一旁而白佛言:「大德世尊,世尊之
ZW05n0046_p0064a22:弟,世尊姨母之子,難陀尊者對比丘眾言:『諸位尊者,我
ZW05n0046_p0064a23:不喜修持梵行,我將捨戒還俗。』」
ZW05n0046_p0064a24:時世尊召一比丘:「比丘汝來,汝去召難陀比丘來
ZW05n0046_p0064a25:此,對他說師召難陀。」比丘應聲而去,至難陀所,告難陀
ZW05n0046_p0065a01:曰:「壽者難陀,師召汝去。」
ZW05n0046_p0065a02:難陀即至佛所,禮世尊已,坐在一旁。佛問難陀:
ZW05n0046_p0065a03:「聞汝曾告比丘眾言:『我不喜修持梵行,我將捨戒還
ZW05n0046_p0065a04:俗。』是否果有其事?」難陀答言:「如是,世尊。」「難陀,汝
ZW05n0046_p0065a05:因何不喜梵行,因何要捨戒還俗?」「世尊,我出家之時,
ZW05n0046_p0065a06:美女國色天香,垂髮半梳,曾告我言:『君當速歸。』每念
ZW05n0046_p0065a07:及此,便不願修持梵行,想捨戒還俗。」
ZW05n0046_p0065a08:時世尊拉起難陀尊者,如壯士屈伸臂頃,從祇陀林
ZW05n0046_p0065a09:園到忉利天。
ZW05n0046_p0065a10:爾時,忉利天有五百天女,其大腿粉紅如鴿足,侍奉
ZW05n0046_p0065a11:帝釋天王。佛問難陀:「汝見此五百天女否?」難陀答言:
ZW05n0046_p0065a12:「如是,世尊。」
ZW05n0046_p0065a13:「難陀,汝有何感想?垂髮半梳,國色天香與此五百
ZW05n0046_p0065a14:天女相比,誰更美妙?誰更動人?」
ZW05n0046_p0065a15:「世尊,二者相比,垂髮半梳,國色天香便如母猴一
ZW05n0046_p0065a16:樣醜陋不堪,不及天女之十六分之一,乃至十六分之一
ZW05n0046_p0065a17:之十六分之一。二者豈可相提並論?五百天女確實更
ZW05n0046_p0065a18:加美妙,更加動人。」
ZW05n0046_p0065a19:「難陀,汝當喜愛教法,我可設法使汝得到五百天
ZW05n0046_p0065a20:女,我可擔保。」
ZW05n0046_p0065a21:「大德,世尊若能保證我得到五百天女,我自會隨世
ZW05n0046_p0065a22:尊修持梵行。」
ZW05n0046_p0065a23:時世尊又拉起難陀尊者,如壯士伸屈臂頃,從忉利
ZW05n0046_p0065a24:天回到祇陀林園。
ZW05n0046_p0065a25:自此之後,諸比丘眾皆聞知:「世尊之弟,姨母之子,
ZW05n0046_p0066a01:難陀尊者為得到天女而修持梵行,世尊並已保證難陀得
ZW05n0046_p0066a02:到五百天女。」比丘眾中,難陀尊者之舊友開始稱難陀為
ZW05n0046_p0066a03:僱傭者、買來人。難陀尊者因被如此稱呼而苦惱,而羞
ZW05n0046_p0066a04:愧,於是避開僧眾,獨居靜處;勇猛精進,斷除煩惱,趨向
ZW05n0046_p0066a05:涅槃。如此勤修梵行道業,不久證得羅漢果位,自知「生
ZW05n0046_p0066a06:死已盡,梵行已立,所作已辦,不受後有」。如是難陀尊
ZW05n0046_p0066a07:者成為諸多阿羅中之一位阿羅漢。
ZW05n0046_p0066a08:時初夜已過,有一天神來到佛所;遍體光明,普照祇
ZW05n0046_p0066a09:園。天神禮世尊已,站在一旁,白世尊言:「世尊之弟,姨
ZW05n0046_p0066a10:母之子,難陀尊者諸漏已盡,已得無漏智果,以自慧力求
ZW05n0046_p0066a11:得解脫。」世尊亦以己之智,得見難陀諸漏已盡,已得無
ZW05n0046_p0066a12:漏智果,以自慧力求得解脫。
ZW05n0046_p0066a13:是夜分盡,難陀尊者往見世尊,禮世尊已,坐於一
ZW05n0046_p0066a14:旁,而白世尊言:「大德世尊,世尊曾保我得五百天女。
ZW05n0046_p0066a15:世尊,今我請求解除此約。」世尊曰:「難陀,我已知汝心,
ZW05n0046_p0066a16:知汝已以自慧力,漏盡解脫。有一天神也已來告我。難
ZW05n0046_p0066a17:陀,汝心既然已無取執,諸漏既已斷盡,我們自可解除此
ZW05n0046_p0066a18:約。」
ZW05n0046_p0066a19:世尊如是說已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0067a03:音甚大。爾時世尊問阿難:「阿難,何人如此高聲喧鬧?
ZW05n0046_p0067a04:有如漁場上之漁夫一般?」阿難答曰:「世尊,此乃耶輸闍
ZW05n0046_p0067a05:等五百比丘來此謁見世尊,諸外來比丘與住園比丘互相
ZW05n0046_p0067a06:談敘,共同敷設臥具,整理衣鉢,聲音甚大。」世尊告曰:
ZW05n0046_p0067a07:「阿難,汝去召諸比丘來,說師欲召見。」「如是,世尊。」阿
ZW05n0046_p0067a08:難應諾而去,到諸比丘處告言:「師召諸位尊者。」
ZW05n0046_p0067a09:諸比丘應佛之召,來到佛所,禮世尊已,坐於一旁。
ZW05n0046_p0067a10:世尊問曰:「諸比丘眾,汝等為何大聲喧鬧,如漁場漁
ZW05n0046_p0067a11:夫?」
ZW05n0046_p0067a12:耶輸闍白佛言:「世尊,我等五百比丘來此謁見世
ZW05n0046_p0067a13:尊,諸外來比丘與住園比丘互相談敘,敷設臥具,整理衣
ZW05n0046_p0067a14:鉢,聲音甚大。」
ZW05n0046_p0067a15:佛告諸比丘曰:「離開這裏,諸比丘!我當驅汝等遠
ZW05n0046_p0067a16:離,不准留住我處。」
ZW05n0046_p0067a17:「如是,世尊。」諸比丘應諾,即從座起,禮拜世尊,行
ZW05n0046_p0067a18:右繞之禮;收起坐臥用具及衣鉢,向跋祇遊去。至跋祇
ZW05n0046_p0067a19:國瓦古姆達河,逢雨季。即於河岸造茅棚安居。
ZW05n0046_p0067a20:時耶輸闍召諸比丘曰:「諸壽者,世尊為使我等獲
ZW05n0046_p0067a21:益,同情我等,纔把我等驅開。故我等應知世尊寄我等
ZW05n0046_p0067a22:之希望,我等應遵從行事。」
ZW05n0046_p0067a23:諸比丘應一聲「如是,尊者」,便分散獨居,精進而不
ZW05n0046_p0067a24:放逸;斷煩惱,趨涅槃。在此雨季安居期間,皆得三明。
ZW05n0046_p0067a25:時世尊住捨衛城已,向吠捨離遊去。至吠捨離,住
ZW05n0046_p0068a01:大林精舍。時世尊心中已知住阿古姆達河岸諸比丘情
ZW05n0046_p0068a02:形,即告阿難曰:「阿難,瓦古姆達河岸住有諸比丘,那裏
ZW05n0046_p0068a03:已有光向我。阿難,汝遣一使者去瓦古姆達河岸,告諸
ZW05n0046_p0068a04:比丘,師有召請。」阿難應聲「如是,世尊」。即去一比丘
ZW05n0046_p0068a05:處,對該比丘曰:「壽者,汝去阿古姆達河岸比丘住處,對
ZW05n0046_p0068a06:彼比丘言師欲召見。」比丘應聲而去,彈指之間便到達瓦
ZW05n0046_p0068a07:古姆達河岸諸比丘處,對諸比丘曰:「師召諸位尊者,師
ZW05n0046_p0068a08:欲見諸位尊者。」「如是,尊者。」諸比丘應諾一聲,即收拾
ZW05n0046_p0068a09:坐臥具,整理衣鉢,離開瓦古姆達河岸,彈指之間,來到
ZW05n0046_p0068a10:大林精舍世尊住所。
ZW05n0046_p0068a11:爾時世尊入於不動三昧。諸比丘思忖世尊此時修
ZW05n0046_p0068a12:住何處,得知世尊入於不動三昧時,便亦皆入於不動三
ZW05n0046_p0068a13:昧。
ZW05n0046_p0068a14:至天黑以後,初夜已過,阿難雙手合十,向世尊禮
ZW05n0046_p0068a15:拜。然後披著袈裟,白世尊曰:「大德世尊,初夜已過,現
ZW05n0046_p0068a16:已夜深;遠來諸僧恭候已久,請世尊與之談說。」
ZW05n0046_p0068a17:阿難如是白世尊已,世尊仍是默然不語。阿難再次
ZW05n0046_p0068a18:雙手合十,向世尊禮拜,白世尊曰:「大德世尊,初夜已
ZW05n0046_p0068a19:過,現已夜深,遠來諸僧恭候已久,請世尊與之談說。」阿
ZW05n0046_p0068a20:難白世尊已,世尊仍是默然。待天至黎明,旭日初昇,阿
ZW05n0046_p0068a21:難即從座起,雙手合十,舉過頭頂,向佛行禮,並白佛言:
ZW05n0046_p0068a22:「大德世尊,黑夜已過,天即黎明;遠來比丘恭候已久,請
ZW05n0046_p0068a23:世尊與之談說。」
ZW05n0046_p0068a24:爾時世尊,即出定坐起,告阿難曰:「阿難,汝若已
ZW05n0046_p0068a25:知,當不至如此。阿難,我與五百比丘,已同入不動三
ZW05n0046_p0069a01:昧。」
ZW05n0046_p0069a02:世尊如是告已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0070a04:時世尊告一比丘曰:「比丘,汝過來,汝如我所說,告

ZW05n0046_p0070a08:已,坐在一旁。世尊告畢陵迦婆蹉曰:「婆蹉,聞汝常呼
ZW05n0046_p0070a09:諸比丘為『賤人』,有此事否?」畢陵迦婆蹉答言:「如是,
ZW05n0046_p0070a10:世尊。」
ZW05n0046_p0070a11:爾時,世尊思維畢陵迦婆蹉之往世情形,而後告諸
ZW05n0046_p0070a12:比丘曰:「諸比丘,汝等不當怪罪婆蹉比丘,婆蹉並未以
ZW05n0046_p0070a13:瞋怒之心呼汝等為『賤人』。婆蹉比丘過去五百世連續
ZW05n0046_p0070a14:不斷生於婆羅門家庭,呼人為『賤人』已成習氣。以此習
ZW05n0046_p0070a15:氣故,婆蹉纔呼汝等為『賤人』。」
ZW05n0046_p0070a16:爾時世尊,如是告已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0070a25:七日後從定起。出定後心想:「我當到王舍城乞食。」時
ZW05n0046_p0071a01:有五百天神踊躍上前,供奉食品。大迦葉謝絕所供,於
ZW05n0046_p0071a02:朝時著衣持鉢,入王舍城乞食。
ZW05n0046_p0071a03:時帝釋天欲供大迦葉齋食,即化為紡織工紡紗;阿
ZW05n0046_p0071a04:修羅女穿梭織布。
ZW05n0046_p0071a05:大迦葉尊者在王舍城挨戶乞食,來至帝釋天化身
ZW05n0046_p0071a06:處。帝釋天化身見大迦葉尊者走來,出門往迎,接鉢入
ZW05n0046_p0071a07:室,以米飯及諸類菜餚,上等汁液,盛滿一鉢,獻給大迦
ZW05n0046_p0071a08:葉。時大迦葉自忖:「此人是誰,有諾大威力?定是帝釋
ZW05n0046_p0071a09:天無疑。」大迦葉如是知已,明告帝釋天曰:「帝釋,此汝
ZW05n0046_p0071a10:所為。此後不可再如此行事!」
ZW05n0046_p0071a11:帝釋天言:「大德大迦葉,我等亦需積德,亦當行
ZW05n0046_p0071a12:善。」言已,行右繞之禮,而後昇入天空。帝釋欣喜,於空
ZW05n0046_p0071a13:中自說:「最上齋食,已施予大迦葉!最上齋食,已施予
ZW05n0046_p0071a14:大迦葉!最上齋食,已施予大迦葉!」
ZW05n0046_p0071a15:爾時世尊,以超人之清淨天耳,聽到帝釋於空中所
ZW05n0046_p0071a16:說之感興語,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0071a25:「諸位壽者,托鉢乞食之比丘在遊行托鉢時,常可見
ZW05n0046_p0072a01:悅目之色,聽悅耳之音,聞悅意之香,嘗悅意之味,得悅
ZW05n0046_p0072a02:意之觸。諸位壽者,乞食比丘可得供養,受禮敬尊崇。
ZW05n0046_p0072a03:故人為此而托鉢。我等亦當堅持托鉢,以常見悅目之
ZW05n0046_p0072a04:色,聽悅耳之音,聞悅意之香,嘗悅意之味,得悅意之觸。
ZW05n0046_p0072a05:可得供養,受禮敬尊崇。」諸比丘如是議論,未能終止。
ZW05n0046_p0072a06:爾時已夕,世尊從定中坐起,至迦利樹園堂,敷座而
ZW05n0046_p0072a07:坐,問比丘曰:「汝等聚此,作何言說?而未終止?」眾比
ZW05n0046_p0072a08:丘答言:「大德世尊,我等乞食既回,齋飯用畢,聚於此迦
ZW05n0046_p0072a09:利樹園堂,共同談論:托鉢乞食者在遊行托鉢時,常可見
ZW05n0046_p0072a10:悅目之色,聽悅耳之音,聞悅意之香,嘗悅意之味,得悅
ZW05n0046_p0072a11:意之觸。可得供養,受禮敬尊崇。我等議論未終止時,
ZW05n0046_p0072a12:世尊至此。」
ZW05n0046_p0072a13:世尊告曰:「諸比丘,汝等是族姓子,正信出家。發
ZW05n0046_p0072a14:此議論,甚不應該。諸比丘聚於一處,當做之事僅二:一
ZW05n0046_p0072a15:是談說法語,二是保持聖者之沉默。」
ZW05n0046_p0072a16:爾時世尊,如是說已,即興而說偈曰:

ZW05n0046_p0072a24:下之事:「諸位尊者,誰懂技藝?何藝最高?誰習何藝?」
ZW05n0046_p0072a25:有比丘言:「御象之技最高。」有比丘說:「御馬之技最
ZW05n0046_p0073a01:高。」有比丘說:「駕車之技最高。」有比丘說:「射箭之技
ZW05n0046_p0073a02:最高。」有比丘說:「武術最高。」有比丘說:「印契之技最
ZW05n0046_p0073a03:高。」有比丘說:「數學最高。」有比丘說:「書法最高。」有
ZW05n0046_p0073a04:比丘說:「詩歌最高。」有比丘說:「詭辯最高。」有比丘說:
ZW05n0046_p0073a05:「應辯最高。」如此談論,未有終止。
ZW05n0046_p0073a06:時至傍晚,世尊從定中起,至眾比丘處,敷座而坐,
ZW05n0046_p0073a07:問比丘曰:「諸比丘,今汝等聚此,談論何事,而未終止?」
ZW05n0046_p0073a08:眾比丘答言:「大德,我等托鉢回,齋食已,共坐攀
ZW05n0046_p0073a09:談,談及誰懂技藝,諸技之中以何為最高,誰習何藝。有
ZW05n0046_p0073a10:說御家之技最高,有說應辯之術最高。談未終止,世尊
ZW05n0046_p0073a11:至此。」
ZW05n0046_p0073a12:世尊曰:「諸比丘,汝等是族姓子,虔誠出家,不當談
ZW05n0046_p0073a13:論此等話題。汝等聚於一處,當做者唯二事:一是談說
ZW05n0046_p0073a14:法語;二是保持聖者之沉默。」
ZW05n0046_p0073a15:爾時,世尊如是說己,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0075a08:時彌凱耶尊者為佛之侍者。彌凱耶尊者到佛所,禮敬已
ZW05n0046_p0075a09:畢,站立一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,我欲去江都村乞
ZW05n0046_p0075a10:食。」世尊曰:「現正是時,彌凱耶。」
ZW05n0046_p0075a11:彌凱耶尊者著衣持鉢,入江都村行乞。從江都村托
ZW05n0046_p0075a12:鉢回,齋食已,來到金米卡拉河邊,在河邊漫步休息。爾
ZW05n0046_p0075a13:時,彌凱耶尊者見一片惹人喜愛的芒果林,心想:「此芒
ZW05n0046_p0075a14:果林委實可愛,是族姓子修行的理想處所。世尊如若應
ZW05n0046_p0075a15:允,我欲來此精勤修習。」
ZW05n0046_p0075a16:彌凱耶尊者如是想已,來至佛所,行禮已畢,坐在一
ZW05n0046_p0075a17:旁,白世尊言:「大德,我於朝時著衣持鉢,入江都村乞
ZW05n0046_p0075a18:食。托鉢回,齋食已,到金米卡拉河邊漫步休息,時見一
ZW05n0046_p0075a19:片芒果林甚是可愛。心想,如若世尊應允,我願到那裏
ZW05n0046_p0075a20:精勤修習。」
ZW05n0046_p0075a21:彌凱耶尊者如是白世尊已,世尊曰:「彌凱耶,汝若
ZW05n0046_p0075a22:去,我則獨居;汝可暫留,至另比丘來此接替。」彌凱耶尊
ZW05n0046_p0075a23:者再白世尊言:「大德世尊,世尊已無當做之事,而我卻
ZW05n0046_p0075a24:有事當做。若世尊應允,我當往彼芒果林勤奮修習。」
ZW05n0046_p0075a25:彌凱耶尊者如是白世尊已。世尊曰:「彌凱耶,汝既
ZW05n0046_p0076a01:說勤奮修習,我尚復何言?彌凱耶,現正當其時,汝可行
ZW05n0046_p0076a02:當做之事。」時彌凱耶從座而起,右繞禮佛,即往芒果林
ZW05n0046_p0076a03:去。進入林中,於一棵樹下休息。彌凱耶住於芒果林
ZW05n0046_p0076a04:中,卻生出慾念、瞋念、害念之三惡念。時彌凱耶尊者甚
ZW05n0046_p0076a05:感奇怪:「怪哉!怪哉!昔所未有!我虔誠出家,卻住於
ZW05n0046_p0076a06:三惡念中!」
ZW05n0046_p0076a07:於夕時,彌凱耶從定中起,往世尊所。行禮已畢,坐
ZW05n0046_p0076a08:在一旁,白世尊言:「大德世尊,我在芒果林住,卻生出慾
ZW05n0046_p0076a09:念、瞋念、害念之三惡念。這使我驚奇,我虔誠出家,卻
ZW05n0046_p0076a10:住於三惡念中!」
ZW05n0046_p0076a11:世尊曰:「彌凱耶,有五法可治汝心。何謂五法?彌
ZW05n0046_p0076a12:凱耶,比丘有善知識,善友,此為第一法。守持戒律,遵
ZW05n0046_p0076a13:守解脫戒規,行持圓滿,縱使小過亦畏懼不犯,精修學
ZW05n0046_p0076a14:處,此為第二法。復次,有少欲之足之語,喜樂語,閑靜
ZW05n0046_p0076a15:語,獨處語,精進語,戒語,定語,慧語,解脫語;有利於斷
ZW05n0046_p0076a16:除煩惱、蓋障,有利於厭惡輪迴之苦,有利於滅除貪慾,
ZW05n0046_p0076a17:有利於得菩提,證涅槃。多聽此類話語為第三法。復
ZW05n0046_p0076a18:次,彌凱耶,比丘應勇猛精進;增強善法,遠離不善法;此
ZW05n0046_p0076a19:為第四法。復次,彌凱耶,比丘應有智慧,應以智慧觀察
ZW05n0046_p0076a20:生滅,正觀苦滅;此為第五法。」
ZW05n0046_p0076a21:「彌凱耶,有善知識,有善友,可望得此。守持戒律,
ZW05n0046_p0076a22:修習學處,排除煩惱,可望得此。精進,不捨善業,正觀
ZW05n0046_p0076a23:苦滅,可望得此。」
ZW05n0046_p0076a24:「彌凱耶,除此五法之外,還須增修四法:應修不淨
ZW05n0046_p0076a25:觀以除貪愛;應修慈悲觀以除瞋恨;應修數息觀以除疑
ZW05n0046_p0077a01:惑;應修無常觀以除傲慢。彌凱耶,得無常想者,則決無
ZW05n0046_p0077a02:我執;得無我想者,必可滅除我慢;如此當世可證涅槃。」
ZW05n0046_p0077a03:爾時世尊,如是說已,即興說偈:

ZW05n0046_p0077a14:爾時世尊,見諸比丘眾高慢、浮躁、多語、迷惑、不自
ZW05n0046_p0077a15:覺、心不專一、慌恐不安,住於不遠處之林間房舍中。
ZW05n0046_p0077a16:爾時世尊,如是見已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0077a25:牛人到世尊所,禮世尊已,坐在一旁。佛以法語向其講
ZW05n0046_p0078a01:說,使其信受、奮發、喜悅。牧牛人聽佛法語,受佛教誨,
ZW05n0046_p0078a02:心生信念,奮發喜悅而白佛言:「大德世尊,請於明日同
ZW05n0046_p0078a03:比丘眾受我供養。」世尊默然應允。牧牛人知世尊已應,
ZW05n0046_p0078a04:即從座起,向世尊行右繞之禮,而自離去。
ZW05n0046_p0078a05:夜時過去,牧牛人在家中備好稠奶飯、酥油,稟報世
ZW05n0046_p0078a06:尊:「大德,飯已備好,今正是時,請來用齋。」
ZW05n0046_p0078a07:於朝時分,世尊著衣持鉢,攜比丘眾到牧牛人家,敷
ZW05n0046_p0078a08:座而坐。牧牛人以稠奶飯、鮮酥油供佛及諸比丘。世尊
ZW05n0046_p0078a09:飯食已,牧牛人於一旁低座坐下。世尊又以法語向其講
ZW05n0046_p0078a10:說,使其信受、奮發、喜悅。然後從座而起,回到佛所。
ZW05n0046_p0078a11:世尊離去未久,一男人入牧牛人家,殺牧牛人死。
ZW05n0046_p0078a12:時眾比丘至佛所,行禮已,坐在一旁,白世尊言:「大
ZW05n0046_p0078a13:德,今天牧牛人以奶飯、酥油供佛及我等比丘眾。我們
ZW05n0046_p0078a14:離開未久,一男人闖入將牧牛人殺死」。
ZW05n0046_p0078a15:世尊如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0078a20:如是我聞:一時,世尊於王舍城竹林迦蘭陀園住。
ZW05n0046_p0078a21:舍利弗尊者和大目犍連尊者在鴿山住。時舍利弗尊者
ZW05n0046_p0078a22:新剃頭髮,在月明之夜於露天打坐入定。時有二夜叉為
ZW05n0046_p0078a23:友,因事自北而南行。二夜叉見舍利弗尊者新剃頭髮,
ZW05n0046_p0078a24:在月明之夜於露天打坐入定。一夜叉告其友曰:「朋友,
ZW05n0046_p0078a25:我欲擊此沙門頭。」友言:「朋友,不可;汝莫如此。此沙
ZW05n0046_p0079a01:門是一位大德,有大神通,大威力。」夜叉再對友言:「朋
ZW05n0046_p0079a02:友,我仍欲擊此沙門頭。」友再阻:「不可,汝莫如此。此
ZW05n0046_p0079a03:沙門是一位大德,有大神通,大威力。」夜叉三對友言:
ZW05n0046_p0079a04:「朋友,我仍欲擊此沙門頭。」友三阻:「不可,汝莫如此。
ZW05n0046_p0079a05:此沙門是一位大德,有大神通,大威力。」
ZW05n0046_p0079a06:爾時,夜叉不聽友勸阻,擊舍利弗尊者頭。此一擊,
ZW05n0046_p0079a07:能使七肘乃至八肘高大象倒地;能使山頂崩壞;而夜叉
ZW05n0046_p0079a08:本身因此擊而哀叫「疼痛」,倒地而死,墜入地獄。
ZW05n0046_p0079a09:時大目犍連尊者以超人之清淨天眼,觀見夜叉擊舍
ZW05n0046_p0079a10:利弗頭,即到舍利弗尊者處問言:「如何?汝能忍否?疼
ZW05n0046_p0079a11:痛否?」舍利弗答言:「目犍連尊者,我能忍,祇是頭皮有
ZW05n0046_p0079a12:點痛癢。」大目犍連言:「舍利弗尊者,汝真有大神通,大
ZW05n0046_p0079a13:威力;真乃神奇之極也!舍利弗尊者,汝被夜叉一擊,這
ZW05n0046_p0079a14:一擊能使七肘高大象倒地,能使山頂崩壞,而汝卻能忍,
ZW05n0046_p0079a15:僅覺頭皮有點痛癢。」
ZW05n0046_p0079a16:舍利弗言:「我連一個俾舍遮鬼亦未能看見,而目犍
ZW05n0046_p0079a17:連尊者卻看見了夜叉。目犍連尊者真有大神通,大威
ZW05n0046_p0079a18:力。目犍連尊者纔真正堪稱神奇。」
ZW05n0046_p0079a19:此時,世尊以超人之清淨天耳聽到此二大弟子談
ZW05n0046_p0079a20:話。如是聽已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0080a04:外道弟子等共住,混雜不堪,煩亂不堪,諸多不便。時世
ZW05n0046_p0080a05:尊思念:「今我與比丘、比丘尼、優婆塞、優婆夷、國王、大
ZW05n0046_p0080a06:臣、外道、外道弟子共住,混雜不堪,諸多不便,我當離群
ZW05n0046_p0080a07:獨居。」爾時朝時,世尊著衣持鉢,入憍賞彌乞食。乞食
ZW05n0046_p0080a08:已,回至住所,將坐臥具收拾存放,著衣持鉢,不告侍從,
ZW05n0046_p0080a09:不告比丘僧眾,獨自一人,無有二者,往波利林去。依路
ZW05n0046_p0080a10:序行走,到達波利林,住於附近之護林中一棵名為「善
ZW05n0046_p0080a11:良」的娑羅樹下。
ZW05n0046_p0080a12:時有一象王,與諸多牡象、牝象、小象、幼象雜居一
ZW05n0046_p0080a13:處。像王吃諸象食去梢頭之草,諸象吃象王折下之樹
ZW05n0046_p0080a14:枝。像王飲混濁之水。像王出水上岸後,諸牝象以軀體
ZW05n0046_p0080a15:觸摸象王。如此,像王煩躁。像王想:「我今與諸多牝
ZW05n0046_p0080a16:象、牡象、小象、幼象雜居一處;我所食者,為諸象食去梢
ZW05n0046_p0080a17:頭之草;諸象所食者,為我從樹上折下之枝。我所飲為
ZW05n0046_p0080a18:混濁之水,我上岸後,又有諸牝象以身體觸摸,如此與眾
ZW05n0046_p0080a19:混居,煩苦不便,我當離開群體,獨居纔是。」於是象王離
ZW05n0046_p0080a20:開象群,來到波利林村護林世尊所住之「善良」娑羅樹
ZW05n0046_p0080a21:下。像王以鼻拔除住地草莽,以鼻取水供佛飲用,以鼻
ZW05n0046_p0080a22:取物供佛使用。
ZW05n0046_p0080a23:世尊獨居,清閒自在。心想:「昔日我與比丘、比丘
ZW05n0046_p0080a24:尼、優婆塞、優婆夷、國王、大臣、外道、外道弟子混雜而
ZW05n0046_p0080a25:居,煩亂不堪。今離群獨居,離開比丘、比丘尼、優婆塞、
ZW05n0046_p0081a01:優婆夷、國王、大臣、外道、外道弟子,無有煩亂,安樂清
ZW05n0046_p0081a02:靜。」象王亦想:「我昔日與牡象、牝象、小象、幼象雜居一
ZW05n0046_p0081a03:處,吃諸象食去梢頭之草,諸象食我從樹上折下之枝。
ZW05n0046_p0081a04:我飲混濁之水,出水上岸後,諸牝象以身體觸摸,煩苦不
ZW05n0046_p0081a05:便。今我離開牡象、牝象、小象、幼象,可食有梢之草,不
ZW05n0046_p0081a06:必折下樹枝供牠們食用,可飲不濁之水,上岸後亦無牝
ZW05n0046_p0081a07:象以身體觸摸。離群獨居,確實安祥。」
ZW05n0046_p0081a08:爾時,世尊已知象王心之所念,並以己身輕安,即興

ZW05n0046_p0082a17:爾時世尊受世人供養,受崇敬,得布施,得衣食、坐臥具、
ZW05n0046_p0082a18:醫藥。比丘眾亦受世人供養,受崇敬,得布施,得衣食、
ZW05n0046_p0082a19:坐臥具、醫藥。而諸外道不受世人供養,不受崇敬,不得
ZW05n0046_p0082a20:布施,不得衣食、坐臥具、醫藥。
ZW05n0046_p0082a21:時諸外道不能安忍於佛及比丘僧眾之所得,便到外
ZW05n0046_p0082a22:道女孫陀利所而告言:「妹妹,汝願為親族效些力否?」孫
ZW05n0046_p0082a23:陀利言:「為了親族,我願捨命效力,但不知我能有何
ZW05n0046_p0082a24:為。」外道言:「汝當常到祇陀林去。」孫陀利應,即常往祇
ZW05n0046_p0082a25:陀林。當眾人皆知孫陀利常往祇陀林時,諸外道便將她
ZW05n0046_p0083a01:殺死,將其屍體埋於祇陀林圍溝中,然後往見憍薩羅國
ZW05n0046_p0083a02:王告曰:「大王,我等已不見孫陀利女。」王曰:「汝等疑孫
ZW05n0046_p0083a03:陀利應在何處?」外道言:「大王,祇陀林。」王曰:「如是,
ZW05n0046_p0083a04:可往祇陀林尋找。」
ZW05n0046_p0083a05:時諸外道即往祇陀林,從圍溝中挖出孫陀利屍體,
ZW05n0046_p0083a06:置於床上,抬往舍衛城中,走街串巷,走過每個路口,便
ZW05n0046_p0083a07:向人展示言:「諸位,請看釋迦弟子沙門所作之業!他們
ZW05n0046_p0083a08:無恥、破戒、行惡、妄語、無梵行。他們聲稱行善法,行沙
ZW05n0046_p0083a09:門法,行梵行,說真話,持戒律,修善行;而其實他們並無
ZW05n0046_p0083a10:沙門法,未去惡行;沙門行滅盡,梵行滅盡。他們行男女
ZW05n0046_p0083a11:淫事,事後把女子害死。」
ZW05n0046_p0083a12:爾時,舍衛城人聽信外道言,見比丘眾,以粗惡語,
ZW05n0046_p0083a13:指責辱罵,說釋迦子沙門無羞無恥,乃至行男女淫事,事
ZW05n0046_p0083a14:已,殺害女子。
ZW05n0046_p0083a15:時諸比丘著衣持鉢,到舍衛城乞食。乞食回,齋食
ZW05n0046_p0083a16:已,共往佛所。禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而白佛言:「大德,
ZW05n0046_p0083a17:捨衛城人見比丘眾輒以惡語辱罵,說釋迦子無有羞恥,
ZW05n0046_p0083a18:乃至行男女淫事,事已而殺害女子。」
ZW05n0046_p0083a19:佛告諸比丘曰:「如是惡語,不會長久;多則可存七
ZW05n0046_p0083a20:日,七日之後必自消失。諸比丘,若有人見比丘眾以粗
ZW05n0046_p0083a21:惡語辱罵,可以此偈回復:
ZW05n0046_p0083a22:ZW05n0046_p0083a23:ZW05n0046_p0083a24: ZW05n0046_p0083a25:諸比丘於佛處學得此偈,每遇人辱罵,即以此偈回

ZW05n0046_p0085a20:「大王,無有。在我所愛人中,無有勝於愛我自己
ZW05n0046_p0085a21:者。大王,在大王所愛人中,有無勝於愛大王自己者?」
ZW05n0046_p0085a22:「也無有,末利。在我所愛人中,也無有勝於愛我自
ZW05n0046_p0085a23:己者。」波斯匿答言。
ZW05n0046_p0085a24:時波斯匿王從殿上層下至地面,來至佛所,禮世尊
ZW05n0046_p0085a25:已,坐於一旁,白佛言:「大德,我與末利王妃登至宮殿上
ZW05n0046_p0086a01:層,問王妃言:『末利,在汝所愛人中,有無勝於愛汝自己
ZW05n0046_p0086a02:者?』末利王妃答:『大王,在我所愛人中,無有勝於愛我
ZW05n0046_p0086a03:自己者。』末利又問在我所愛人中,有無勝於愛我自己
ZW05n0046_p0086a04:者,我亦回答說『無有』。」

ZW05n0046_p0086a13:於一旁,白世尊言:「奇哉!奇哉!大德世尊,世尊之母
ZW05n0046_p0086a14:親竟如此短壽,世尊出生七日,世尊母親去世,生兜率
ZW05n0046_p0086a15:天。」世尊曰:「阿難,事確如此,菩薩之母確實命短,菩薩
ZW05n0046_p0086a16:降生七日,菩薩母即去世,而降生兜率天。」
ZW05n0046_p0086a17:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0086a24:爾時,王舍城有一個名叫「善覺」的癩病患者,他是王舍
ZW05n0046_p0086a25:城最貧困、最低微之人。
ZW05n0046_p0087a01:爾時,世尊正被眾人圍繞,為眾人說法。癩病患者
ZW05n0046_p0087a02:善覺於遠處見眾人聚集,心想:「此處必有某種食物分
ZW05n0046_p0087a03:發;我若往至,亦必可得。」善覺即至眾人聚處。既至,
ZW05n0046_p0087a04:見世尊被眾人圍繞,正為眾人說法。心想:「此處原來並無
ZW05n0046_p0087a05:食物分發,是沙門瞿曇在為眾人說法。我既到此,亦當
ZW05n0046_p0087a06:一聽。」即在邊處坐下。爾時世尊正以心念尋察觀審,看
ZW05n0046_p0087a07:何人最善領悟教法。爾時世尊發現坐於邊處之癩病患
ZW05n0046_p0087a08:者善覺,即作是念:「領悟我之教法,此人最具善根。」即
ZW05n0046_p0087a09:針對癩病患者善覺說布施、持戒、生天之法,及貪慾之罪
ZW05n0046_p0087a10:過,出離之功德。爾時世尊知癩病患者善覺之心具有靈
ZW05n0046_p0087a11:性,污垢障礙容易去除,即說苦、集、滅、道四聖諦。癩病
ZW05n0046_p0087a12:患者聽後,即在坐中得無塵法眼,證知諸法必有生有滅。
ZW05n0046_p0087a13:爾時癩病患者善覺已見法、證法、悟法、達法,已去
ZW05n0046_p0087a14:除諸種疑惑,已正信堅固,住於聖教。善覺即從座起,走
ZW05n0046_p0087a15:向世尊,禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而白佛言:「大德教法,美
ZW05n0046_p0087a16:妙之極,大德教法,美妙之極!如揭覆蔽,如開掩閉,如
ZW05n0046_p0087a17:為盲者指路,為暗室照明。大德,我今皈依世尊,皈依於
ZW05n0046_p0087a18:法,皈依比丘僧團。自今日起,直至命終,是一優婆塞;
ZW05n0046_p0087a19:亦望世尊如是看我。」
ZW05n0046_p0087a20:爾時,癩病患者善覺受佛陀法語教示,興奮、喜悅,
ZW05n0046_p0087a21:從坐而起,作禮右繞,辭別而去。離去未久,遇一帶犢母
ZW05n0046_p0087a22:牛,角抵善覺,倒地而死。爾時,諸比丘往見世尊,禮世
ZW05n0046_p0087a23:尊已,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德,癩病患者善覺受佛法
ZW05n0046_p0087a24:語教誨,皈依信受,興奮喜悅,今已死亡。他現狀如何?
ZW05n0046_p0087a25:來生怎樣?」世尊答曰:「諸比丘,癩病患者善覺已徹悟正
ZW05n0046_p0088a01:法。為學佛法,未使我勞苦。諸比丘,癩病患者善覺已
ZW05n0046_p0088a02:滅除三結,證得預流果位,不會退轉,將來必成正覺。」
ZW05n0046_p0088a03:世尊說訖,一比丘問言:「大德世尊,癩病患者善覺
ZW05n0046_p0088a04:為何如此貧苦?如此低微?因緣何在?」世尊答曰:「諸
ZW05n0046_p0088a05:比丘,癩病患者善覺前生曾為王舍城一長者子。在園中
ZW05n0046_p0088a06:遊時,遇見辟支佛多伽羅悉卡入城托鉢。既見,心中暗
ZW05n0046_p0088a07:想:『這個身披袈裟,到處遊蕩的癩病患者是誰?』輕蔑吐
ZW05n0046_p0088a08:唾而去。以此想故,墜入地獄多年,數萬年、數千年、數
ZW05n0046_p0088a09:十萬年之久。因其餘業未盡,纔為一癩病患者生於王舍
ZW05n0046_p0088a10:城;且最貧苦,最低微。彼聽佛法,虔誠皈信,謹持戒律;
ZW05n0046_p0088a11:修學、修捨、修慧。今身壞命終,將生忉利天。彼之色身
ZW05n0046_p0088a12:聲譽,必過諸神。」
ZW05n0046_p0088a13:爾時世尊,如是說已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0088a18:如是我聞:一時,世尊在捨衛城祇樹給孤獨園住。
ZW05n0046_p0088a19:爾時眾多兒童在捨衛城和祇陀林之間捕打遊魚。爾時
ZW05n0046_p0088a20:朝時,世尊著衣持鉢,入城乞食,於捨衛城與祇陀林之
ZW05n0046_p0088a21:間,見眾多兒童捕打遊魚,即上前問曰:「諸童,汝等害怕
ZW05n0046_p0088a22:痛苦否?汝等喜歡痛苦否?」兒童答曰:「世尊,我等害怕
ZW05n0046_p0088a23:痛苦,不喜歡痛苦。」
ZW05n0046_p0088a24:爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0089a04:如是我聞:一時,世尊在舍衛城東園彌伽羅堂住。
ZW05n0046_p0089a05:時值布薩日,比丘眾圍繞佛坐。初夜過時,阿難從座而
ZW05n0046_p0089a06:起,整袈裟衣,偏袒一肩,向世尊合掌行禮,而白世尊言:
ZW05n0046_p0089a07:「大德世尊,初夜已過,比丘眾坐等已久,請世尊為比丘
ZW05n0046_p0089a08:說波羅提木叉。」阿難說已,世尊默然。中夜過時,阿難
ZW05n0046_p0089a09:尊者再從座起,整袈裟衣,偏袒一肩,向世尊合掌禮拜而
ZW05n0046_p0089a10:白世尊言:「大德世尊,入夜已久,中夜已過;比丘眾坐等
ZW05n0046_p0089a11:良久,請世尊為比丘說波羅提木叉。」世尊仍然默不作
ZW05n0046_p0089a12:聲。至後夜過去,晨曦昇起,天將亮時,阿難從座而起,
ZW05n0046_p0089a13:整袈裟衣,偏袒一肩,向佛合掌禮拜,而三告佛言:「大德
ZW05n0046_p0089a14:世尊,後夜已過,晨曦昇起,天將黎明;比丘眾坐等已久,
ZW05n0046_p0089a15:請世尊為比丘說波羅提木叉。」爾時佛曰:「阿難,僧團不
ZW05n0046_p0089a16:淨。」時大目犍連自念:「世尊說僧團不淨,不知所指
ZW05n0046_p0089a17:何人。」於是大目犍連以心審察每一比丘,發現比丘眾中有
ZW05n0046_p0089a18:一人犯有罪過,積有惡業,非沙門而自稱沙門,非梵行而
ZW05n0046_p0089a19:自稱梵行;身內污濁,貪髒充滿。阿難見此人坐於比丘
ZW05n0046_p0089a20:眾中,即從座而起,趨近而告言:「世尊已發現汝!汝當
ZW05n0046_p0089a21:起,汝不當與比丘共住。」那人聽後,默然不動。阿難再
ZW05n0046_p0089a22:告:「世尊已發現汝!汝當起,汝不當與比丘共住。」那人
ZW05n0046_p0089a23:仍是默然不動。阿難三說,那人仍是默然不動。大目犍
ZW05n0046_p0089a24:連見此情景,便捉其臂膀,將其推出門去,並關閉門閂。
ZW05n0046_p0089a25:大目犍連回見世尊而白佛言:「大德,我已將那人攆出,
ZW05n0046_p0090a01:現僧團已淨,請為比丘眾說波羅提木叉。」世尊曰:「奇
ZW05n0046_p0090a02:哉,目犍連!奇哉,目犍連!如此愚人竟強坐比丘眾中,
ZW05n0046_p0090a03:直到被攆。」
ZW05n0046_p0090a04:爾時,世尊告比丘曰:「諸比丘,自今以後,我不再作
ZW05n0046_p0090a05:布薩,不再說波羅提木叉。諸比丘,今後汝等自作布薩,
ZW05n0046_p0090a06:自說波羅提木叉。諸比丘,僧團不淨,如來不作布薩,不
ZW05n0046_p0090a07:說波羅提木叉。
ZW05n0046_p0090a08:「諸比丘,大海具有奇妙稀有之八法,為阿羅漢所喜
ZW05n0046_p0090a09:愛。八法云何?
ZW05n0046_p0090a10:「一、諸比丘,大海漸次而深,漸次而下,而無陡壁懸
ZW05n0046_p0090a11:崖。諸阿羅漢見此,心生喜愛。此為大海所具有之第一
ZW05n0046_p0090a12:奇妙稀有之法。
ZW05n0046_p0090a13:「二、復次,諸比丘,大海穩健,不越海岸,諸阿羅漢見
ZW05n0046_p0090a14:而喜愛。此為大海所具有之第二奇妙稀有之法。
ZW05n0046_p0090a15:「三、復次,諸比丘,大海不與死屍共處;海中若有屍
ZW05n0046_p0090a16:體,必即沖到岸上。此亦使阿羅漢見而生喜。此為大海
ZW05n0046_p0090a17:所具有之第三奇妙稀有之法。
ZW05n0046_p0090a18:「四、復次,諸比丘,有大河如恒河、雅牟那河、阿吉拉
ZW05n0046_p0090a19:瓦底河、薩拉菩河、摩黑河;此諸河一旦流入大海,則失
ZW05n0046_p0090a20:原有族姓河名,同稱大海。阿羅漢見此,亦對大海生起
ZW05n0046_p0090a21:喜愛。此為大海所具有之第四奇妙稀有之法。
ZW05n0046_p0090a22:「五、復次,諸比丘,世界諸河皆流入海中,雨水亦降
ZW05n0046_p0090a23:落海上;但海水並不因此而增減。此為大海所具有之第
ZW05n0046_p0090a24:五奇妙稀有之法。
ZW05n0046_p0090a25:「六、復次,大海唯有一味,即是鹹味。此為大海所具
ZW05n0046_p0091a01:有之第六奇妙稀有之法。
ZW05n0046_p0091a02:「七、復次,大海中有多種珍寶,如珍珠、寶石、琉璃、
ZW05n0046_p0091a03:硨渠、珊瑚、海貝、瑪瑙、金、銀等。此為大海所具之第七
ZW05n0046_p0091a04:奇妙稀有之法。
ZW05n0046_p0091a05:「八、大海為龐大生物居住之處。如帝彌魚、阿[A2]修羅、
ZW05n0046_p0091a06:乾闥婆。有些軀體龐大可在百由旬、二百由旬、三百由
ZW05n0046_p0091a07:旬、四百由旬、五百由旬。此為大海所具有之第八奇妙
ZW05n0046_p0091a08:稀有之法。大海具此八法,而為阿羅漢眾所喜愛、所樂
ZW05n0046_p0091a09:住。
ZW05n0046_p0091a10:「諸比丘眾,佛之教法,戒律之中,亦有八種奇妙稀有
ZW05n0046_p0091a11:之法,而為諸比丘所喜愛、所樂住。八法云何?
ZW05n0046_p0091a12:「一、諸比丘,大海漸次而深,漸次而下,而無陡壁懸
ZW05n0046_p0091a13:崖。同樣,佛之教法、戒律,亦是漸次而深;故當次第而
ZW05n0046_p0091a14:學,次第而行,次第而證。不可一蹴而就,成阿羅漢。此

ZW05n0046_p0091a18:制之戒律、學處,聲聞弟子從不違犯。此為佛教所具第
ZW05n0046_p0091a19:二奇妙稀有之法,為比丘所喜愛、所樂住。
ZW05n0046_p0091a20:「三、復次,諸比丘,大海不與死屍共處,海中若有屍
ZW05n0046_p0091a21:體,即沖至岸上。同樣,如僧團中有人犯戒,惡行不淨,
ZW05n0046_p0091a22:自稱沙門而非沙門,自稱梵行而非梵行,內藏污垢,貪慾
ZW05n0046_p0091a23:充身,僧眾則不與共住。比丘眾必聚而共議,將其驅除。
ZW05n0046_p0091a24:彼雖暫在僧團之中,實則遠離僧團,僧團亦遠離於彼。
ZW05n0046_p0091a25:此為佛教所具第三奇妙稀有之法,為眾比丘所喜愛、所

ZW05n0046_p0092a16:石、琉璃、硨渠、珊瑚、海貝、瑪瑙、金、銀等。同樣,佛教
ZW05n0046_p0092a17:中亦有多種珍寶,如四念住、四正勤、四神足、五根、五
ZW05n0046_p0092a18:力、七覺支、八正道等。此為佛教所具第七奇妙稀有之
ZW05n0046_p0092a19:法,為比丘所喜愛、所樂住。
ZW05n0046_p0092a20:「八、復次,諸比丘,大海為龐大生物所居之處,如帝
ZW05n0046_p0092a21:彌魚、阿修羅,乾闥婆等;有些身軀龐大可有百由旬、二
ZW05n0046_p0092a22:百由旬、三百由旬、四百由旬、五百由旬。同樣,佛教亦
ZW05n0046_p0092a23:為大士所居之處。有得預流果者及修預流果之預流向
ZW05n0046_p0092a24:者;有得一來果者及修一來果之一來向者;有得不還果
ZW05n0046_p0092a25:者及修不還果之不還向者;有得羅漢果者及修羅漢果之
ZW05n0046_p0093a01:羅漢向者。此為佛教有具第八奇妙稀有之法,而為比丘
ZW05n0046_p0093a02:所喜愛、所樂住。

ZW05n0046_p0093a13:幹那居士閒靜自思:「聖者大迦旃延說法開示,我如法悟
ZW05n0046_p0093a14:解思維,但因我在家居住,不易潔如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我
ZW05n0046_p0093a15:當剃除鬚髮,穿著袈裟,出家修行。」
ZW05n0046_p0093a16:時蘇那.古提幹那居士即往大迦旃延尊者所,禮尊
ZW05n0046_p0093a17:者已,坐於一旁,而白尊者言:「大德,我閒靜自思,聖者
ZW05n0046_p0093a18:大迦旃延尊者說法開示,我如法悟解思維,但因我在家
ZW05n0046_p0093a19:居住,不易潔如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我當剃除鬚髮,穿著袈
ZW05n0046_p0093a20:裟,出家修行,請聖者大迦旃延為我剃度。」
ZW05n0046_p0093a21:如是說已,大迦旃延即告蘇那.古提幹那居士曰:
ZW05n0046_p0093a22:「蘇那,盡形壽一食獨臥之梵行甚難實行,汝可在家依諸
ZW05n0046_p0093a23:佛教誡,適時實行一食獨臥之梵行。」蘇那.古提幹那居
ZW05n0046_p0093a24:士即打消出家念頭。
ZW05n0046_p0093a25:未久,蘇那.古提幹那居士閑靜自思,又起是念:「聖
ZW05n0046_p0094a01:者大迦旃延說法開示,我如法悟解思維,但因在家居住,
ZW05n0046_p0094a02:不易潔如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我當剃落鬚髮,穿著袈裟,出
ZW05n0046_p0094a03:家修行。」如是思已,又至大迦旃延所,請求為其披剃。
ZW05n0046_p0094a04:大迦旃延尊者再次勸他在家修行,蘇那居士出家之念頭
ZW05n0046_p0094a05:再次打消。又未久,蘇那居士三往大迦旃延所,禮尊
ZW05n0046_p0094a06:者已,坐於一旁而白尊者言:「大德,我閒靜自思,聖者大迦
ZW05n0046_p0094a07:旃延說法開示,我如法悟解思維,但因在家居住,不易潔
ZW05n0046_p0094a08:如瑩貝,淨修梵行。我當剃除鬚髮,穿著袈裟,出家修
ZW05n0046_p0094a09:行。請聖者大迦旃延為我披剃。」
ZW05n0046_p0094a10:時大迦旃延尊者即度蘇那.古提幹那居士出家。時
ZW05n0046_p0094a11:阿般提國南部僅有幾位比丘。大迦旃延歷時三年,艱辛
ZW05n0046_p0094a12:徵集,方得比丘十人,為蘇那尊者授具足戒。
ZW05n0046_p0094a13:如是度過雨季,蘇那尊者於閑靜中心生一念:「我從
ZW05n0046_p0094a14:未親眼見到世尊,祇聽人說世尊如是如是。若師傅應
ZW05n0046_p0094a15:允,我當面見薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩提。」
ZW05n0046_p0094a16:時蘇那尊者於夕時從定中起,往大迦旃延所。即
ZW05n0046_p0094a17:至,禮尊者畢,坐於一旁,而白尊者言:「大德,我獨自於
ZW05n0046_p0094a18:閑靜處心生一念:我從未親眼見到世尊,祇聽人說世尊
ZW05n0046_p0094a19:如是如是。若師傅應允,我當面見薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐
ZW05n0046_p0094a20:三菩提。」如是言已,大迦旃延尊者曰:「蘇那,善哉!善
ZW05n0046_p0094a21:哉!汝可往見薄伽梵.阿羅漢.三藐三菩提。蘇那,世尊
ZW05n0046_p0094a22:諸根清淨,令人歡喜,心念寂靜,最上寂靜,最上調御,守
ZW05n0046_p0094a23:護諸根,是為龍象。汝去謁見,見時,汝當代我頂禮佛
ZW05n0046_p0094a24:足,問候世尊無病無災,安好無恙。」「如是,尊者!」蘇那
ZW05n0046_p0094a25:歡喜應諾,從座而起,禮拜師傅,行右繞之禮。然後收拾
ZW05n0046_p0095a01:坐臥具,著衣持鉢,遊向捨衛城。次弟遊行,終到舍衛城
ZW05n0046_p0095a02:祇陀林給孤獨園世尊所。既至,禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而
ZW05n0046_p0095a03:白世尊言:「大德世尊,我師大迦旃延頂禮佛足,問候世
ZW05n0046_p0095a04:尊無病無災,安好無恙。」世尊問曰:「比丘,汝能安忍否?
ZW05n0046_p0095a05:能得供養否?遠道而來,一路辛苦否?」蘇那尊者答言:
ZW05n0046_p0095a06:「大德世尊,我能安忍,能得供養,雖遠道而來,並不辛
ZW05n0046_p0095a07:苦。」
ZW05n0046_p0095a08:爾時世尊告阿難曰:「阿難,為這位客座比丘敷設坐
ZW05n0046_p0095a09:臥具。」時阿難自念:「世尊命我為這位新來比丘敷設坐
ZW05n0046_p0095a10:臥具,世尊似欲同此蘇那比丘共住。」於是,阿難即於佛
ZW05n0046_p0095a11:處為蘇那比丘敷設坐臥具。
ZW05n0046_p0095a12:時世尊於夜間在室外久坐,然後洗足入室。蘇那尊
ZW05n0046_p0095a13:者也在室外久坐,之後纔洗足入室。天至黎明,世尊起
ZW05n0046_p0095a14:身對蘇那尊者曰:「比丘,汝當講說一法。」「如是,世尊。」
ZW05n0046_p0095a15:蘇那應諾,即誦說《八頌經品》的十六部經。蘇那尊者頌
ZW05n0046_p0095a16:已,世尊曰:「善哉!善哉!比丘,《八頌經品》所有十六
ZW05n0046_p0095a17:部經汝已善學、善憶,並能明其義理。聲音亦好,響亮無
ZW05n0046_p0095a18:誤,語調優美。比丘戒臘多少?」蘇那答曰:「大德世尊,
ZW05n0046_p0095a19:我戒臘一年。」世尊問曰:「汝之出家,為何延誤許久?」蘇
ZW05n0046_p0095a20:那答曰:「大德世尊,貪慾之禍患,我早已明察;因家中諸
ZW05n0046_p0095a21:多俗務,未得機緣。」
ZW05n0046_p0095a22:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0096a15:者,告言:「阿難尊者,自今日起,我將不與世尊及僧眾共
ZW05n0046_p0096a16:作布薩和羯磨。」阿難從王舍城托鉢回,飯食已,至世尊
ZW05n0046_p0096a17:所,禮世尊已,在一旁坐下,而白佛言:「大德,我於朝時
ZW05n0046_p0096a18:著衣持鉢,入王舍城乞食。時提婆達多見我在王舍城乞
ZW05n0046_p0096a19:食,便來見我,對我言道:『阿難尊者,自今日起,我將不
ZW05n0046_p0096a20:與世尊及僧眾共作布薩和羯磨。』大德世尊,提婆達多另
ZW05n0046_p0096a21:作布薩和羯磨,是欲分裂僧團。」
ZW05n0046_p0096a22:爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0098a06:飯食已,告阿難曰:「阿難,持我坐具,我等去遮頗羅支提
ZW05n0046_p0098a07:小息。」「如是,世尊。」阿難應諾,持坐具,隨佛後行。
ZW05n0046_p0098a08:至遮頗羅支提,阿難敷坐具。世尊坐已,告阿難曰:
ZW05n0046_p0098a09:「吠捨離甚美,優陀那支提甚美,瞿曇支提甚美,薩曇婆
ZW05n0046_p0098a10:支提甚美,多子支提甚美,遮頗羅支提甚美!阿難,修得
ZW05n0046_p0098a11:四神足者,增上修者,能令為乘,為所立,堅固積集,住於
ZW05n0046_p0098a12:正知;如有所望,可住世一劫,乃至更久。阿難,如來已
ZW05n0046_p0098a13:修得四神足,已增上修,能令為樂,為所立,堅固積集,住
ZW05n0046_p0098a14:於正知。阿難,如來若有所望,可住世一劫,乃至更久。」
ZW05n0046_p0098a15:時世尊如此明確兆示,阿難尊者仍無所知,似被魔羅攝
ZW05n0046_p0098a16:制其心,而未向世尊作如是請求:「大德世尊,為利益
ZW05n0046_p0098a17:眾生,安樂眾生,救護世界;為天人利益,天人歡樂,
ZW05n0046_p0098a18:願如來住世一劫,乃至更久。」
ZW05n0046_p0098a19:世尊如是再說,乃至三說:「阿難,吠捨離甚美……
ZW05n0046_p0098a20:如來若有所望,可住世一劫,乃至更久。」阿難似被魔羅
ZW05n0046_p0098a21:攝制其心,未能請求世尊住世。
ZW05n0046_p0098a22:爾時世尊告阿難曰:「阿難,現正當其時,汝可自去
ZW05n0046_p0098a23:小息。」「如是,世尊!」阿難應諾,即從座起,作禮右繞,於
ZW05n0046_p0098a24:離佛不遠處一樹下坐下。
ZW05n0046_p0098a25:阿難去之未久,一魔即至世尊所,站立一旁而白世

ZW05n0046_p0099a06:法正修;能為眾宣示演說,顯了分別;能正行神通說法。

ZW05n0046_p0099a21:惡魔如是說已,世尊告曰:「惡魔,汝稍安勿躁,如來
ZW05n0046_p0099a22:不久將入般涅槃。三月之後,如來即入般涅槃。」爾時世
ZW05n0046_p0099a23:尊,在賈帕拉支提正念正智,捨棄世壽。世尊捨棄世壽
ZW05n0046_p0099a24:之時,大地震動,天鼓自鳴;令人身毛悚立,極可恐怖。

ZW05n0046_p0100a08:尼乾子七人,裸體外道七人,一衣外道七人,普行外道七
ZW05n0046_p0100a09:人,皆長腋毛長指甲,持種種沙門什物用品,從距佛不遠
ZW05n0046_p0100a10:處走過。憍薩羅國波斯匿王看到他們,即從座起,右膝
ZW05n0046_p0100a11:著地,合掌向其禮拜,並說:「諸大德,我乃憍薩羅國波斯
ZW05n0046_p0100a12:匿王。」
ZW05n0046_p0100a13:時螺髮外道等走過之後,憍薩羅國王波斯匿又禮拜
ZW05n0046_p0100a14:世尊。禮拜已,坐於一旁,而白佛言:「大德世尊,彼等人
ZW05n0046_p0100a15:中有阿羅漢或入羅漢道者否?」
ZW05n0046_p0100a16:時世尊答曰:「大王,大王居於王宮,有嬪妃王子圍
ZW05n0046_p0100a17:繞;著迦屍衣,飾香粉花鬘,用金銀什物,安能得知彼等
ZW05n0046_p0100a18:是羅漢或入羅漢道否?大王,人必共住,方可知其成行;
ZW05n0046_p0100a19:又須長久,方能知之,短時不能;又須認真思考,方能知
ZW05n0046_p0100a20:之,否則不能;又須有智之人,方能知之,無智者則不能
ZW05n0046_p0100a21:知。大王,從言談,可知其人是否純淨。但亦須長久,短
ZW05n0046_p0100a22:時不能;亦須認真思考,否則不能;亦須有智之人,無智
ZW05n0046_p0100a23:者則不能知。能力,必於危難中方可知之,然亦須久時,
ZW05n0046_p0100a24:短時不能;亦須認真思考,否則不能;亦須有智之人,否
ZW05n0046_p0100a25:則不能。」
ZW05n0046_p0101a01:波斯匿王言:「大德世尊,世尊所言昔所未有,極為
ZW05n0046_p0101a02:奇妙。大德世尊,彼等乃我之屬從,本為暗探,偽裝行
ZW05n0046_p0101a03:者,各地偵察;彼等先行,我則隨後。大德世尊,彼等此
ZW05n0046_p0101a04:刻已洗除灰垢,淋浴塗油,梳理髮鬚,穿著白衣,享受五
ZW05n0046_p0101a05:欲之樂。」
ZW05n0046_p0101a06:爾時世尊,如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0102a20:時眾多比丘於朝時著衣持鉢,入城乞食。托鉢回,
ZW05n0046_p0102a21:飯食訖,往見世尊。行禮畢,坐於一旁,白世尊言:「大德
ZW05n0046_p0102a22:世尊,各種沙門、婆羅門外道同住於舍衛城。他們各有
ZW05n0046_p0102a23:所信,各有所見,各有所好。有說世界恒常,有說世界無
ZW05n0046_p0102a24:常……有說法如是,不如他;有說法非如他,應如是。如
ZW05n0046_p0102a25:此爭吵、鬥爭、辯論,唇槍舌劍,互相攻擊。」
ZW05n0046_p0103a01:世尊曰:「諸比丘,諸外道眾是盲者,無眼目者;不知
ZW05n0046_p0103a02:利害者;不知如法、非法者。因其不知利害,不知如法、
ZW05n0046_p0103a03:非法,所以有說法如是,不如它;有說法非如它,應如是。
ZW05n0046_p0103a04:如此互相爭吵、鬥爭、辯論,唇槍舌劍,互相攻擊。
ZW05n0046_p0103a05:「諸比丘,從前此王舍城曾有一王。王喚一家臣曰:
ZW05n0046_p0103a06:『汝去,將城中所有先天盲人悉皆招來。』『如是大王。』家

ZW05n0046_p0110a17:世尊曰:「阿難,汝所言極是。諸如來、應供、正遍知
ZW05n0046_p0110a18:佛現世之前,諸外道得信奉供養,得尊重、禮敬、佈施,得
ZW05n0046_p0110a19:衣食、坐臥具、醫藥。但諸如來、應供、正遍知佛現世之
ZW05n0046_p0110a20:後,諸外道則不得信奉供養,不得尊重、禮敬、佈施,不得

ZW05n0046_p0115a06:尊,荼那村婆羅門已用草和糠把井填滿,以使我們無水
ZW05n0046_p0115a07:可喝。」世尊再告阿難「取水」,阿難言:「井已填滿,無法
ZW05n0046_p0115a08:取水。」世尊三告阿難取水,阿難纔應諾而去,持鉢去到

ZW05n0046_p0115a10:時阿難見草、糠已在井外,井中清水澄澄,滿至井

ZW05n0046_p0116a02:世尊,優填王幸御苑時,內宮失火,薩瑪沃蒂等五百宮女
ZW05n0046_p0116a03:死於火中。大德世尊,彼等女居士死後當生何處?」
ZW05n0046_p0116a04:世尊答曰:「諸比丘,彼女居士中有得預流果者,有
ZW05n0046_p0116a05:得一來果者,有得不還果者。諸比丘,彼等皆已證得果

ZW05n0046_p0118a13:之子純陀聞知世尊及大比丘眾遊到本地,住於自己的芒
ZW05n0046_p0118a14:果園中,便去謁見佛陀。至佛所,禮拜已,坐於一旁。世
ZW05n0046_p0118a15:尊以法語開示純陀,使其信受、精進、喜悅。純陀受世尊
ZW05n0046_p0118a16:開示而白佛言:「大德世尊,請世尊與比丘眾明日受我齋
ZW05n0046_p0118a17:供。」世尊默然應諾。純陀知世尊已經應諾,從座而起,
ZW05n0046_p0118a18:右繞作禮,告辭而去。
ZW05n0046_p0118a19:純陀次日在家中備足嚼食、食品和豬肉,便去邀請
ZW05n0046_p0118a20:世尊:「大德世尊,今正是時,飯食已經備好。」時在朝時,
ZW05n0046_p0118a21:世尊著衣持鉢,同比丘眾到鐵匠之子純陀家,敷座而坐。
ZW05n0046_p0118a22:坐已,告純陀曰:「純陀,汝把所備之豬肉供我,將嚼食和
ZW05n0046_p0118a23:食品供養僧眾。」鐵匠之子純陀應諾:「如是,世尊。」即取
ZW05n0046_p0118a24:已備好之豬肉供世尊食用,而將嚼食和食品供比丘眾。
ZW05n0046_p0118a25:時世尊又告純陀曰:「純陀,豬肉若有剩餘,應將其
ZW05n0046_p0119a01:埋於地中。純陀,在此天、魔、梵天所居之世上,在此婆
ZW05n0046_p0119a02:羅門、神、人所居之人世間,除如來之外,我不知有誰還
ZW05n0046_p0119a03:能消受這種豬肉。」「如是,世尊。」鐵匠之子純陀遵佛囑
ZW05n0046_p0119a04:將食剩之豬肉埋於地下。埋已,回世尊所,禮世尊已,坐
ZW05n0046_p0119a05:於一旁。世尊又以法語開示純陀,使其信受、精進、喜
ZW05n0046_p0119a06:悅。
ZW05n0046_p0119a07:爾時,世尊食純陀之飯食已,即患發赤痢,疼痛劇
ZW05n0046_p0119a08:烈,幾至死地。但世尊仍是正念正智,安忍不動。時世
ZW05n0046_p0119a09:尊告阿難尊者曰:「阿難,我們去拘屍那羅城。」「如是,世尊。」阿難應諾。

ZW05n0046_p0119a18:座上,又告阿難曰:「阿難,汝為我取水,我渴欲飲。」阿難
ZW05n0046_p0119a19:答言:「大德世尊,此處水少,剛有五百車輛淌過,水甚混
ZW05n0046_p0119a20:濁。大德,古魯沓河距此不遠,那水清淳甘美,可到彼處
ZW05n0046_p0119a21:再飲,亦可在彼處沖涼。」世尊如是再說:「阿難,為我取
ZW05n0046_p0119a22:水來,我渴欲飲。」阿難仍說可到古魯沓河再飲水、沖涼。
ZW05n0046_p0119a23:世尊三說:「阿難,為我取水來,我渴欲飲。」「如是,世
ZW05n0046_p0119a24:尊!」阿難應諾,持鉢往取河水。
ZW05n0046_p0120a01:此河車輪涉過,水少而濁,翻騰流淌。但阿難尊者
ZW05n0046_p0120a02:來取水時卻變為清澈明淨。阿難驚喜:「奇哉!奇哉!
ZW05n0046_p0120a03:前所未有!世尊有大神通,大威力!奇妙之極,實為罕
ZW05n0046_p0120a04:見!此水車輪剛剛涉過,水本少而混濁,現卻變為清
ZW05n0046_p0120a05:澈明淨;滿河之水,靜靜蕩漾。」即以鉢取水,返回佛所。阿
ZW05n0046_p0120a06:難白佛言:「大德世尊,奇哉!奇哉!前所未有!如來有
ZW05n0046_p0120a07:大神通,大威力!此河剛有車輪涉過,水本少而混濁,翻
ZW05n0046_p0120a08:騰流淌;我去取水時,卻變為清澈明淨;滿河之水靜靜蕩
ZW05n0046_p0120a09:漾。現水已取來,請世尊飲用。」世尊即飲。
ZW05n0046_p0120a10:爾時世尊同大比丘眾遊向古魯沓河,下河飲水、沐
ZW05n0046_p0120a11:浴,然後上岸,返回芒果園去。佛召純陀告曰:「純陀,將
ZW05n0046_p0120a12:僧伽利四折為我敷座。純陀,我疲憊欲臥。」「如是,世
ZW05n0046_p0120a13:尊!」純陀應諾,即為世尊四折僧伽利衣,敷座獻上。世
ZW05n0046_p0120a14:尊右脅朝下,左足累置右足之上,作獅子臥。正念正智,
ZW05n0046_p0120a15:思維起想。純陀坐於世尊近前。

ZW05n0046_p0121a05:情,而對他說:『如來最後用了汝之齋飯而入涅槃,於汝
ZW05n0046_p0121a06:有利。此乃我於佛所親耳所聞,我在佛前當面領受。佛
ZW05n0046_p0121a07:曰:有兩種供食果報最佳,[A5]功德最大。兩種云何?一種
ZW05n0046_p0121a08:供食用已,如來成無上正等正覺;一種供食用已,如來證
ZW05n0046_p0121a09:無餘涅槃。此二種供食果報最善最大。純陀尊者由此
ZW05n0046_p0121a10:已積長壽業,已積顏色美好業,已積生天業,已積權勢增
ZW05n0046_p0121a11:長業。』阿難,汝當如此排除鐵匠之子純陀之悔恨惱喪。」
ZW05n0046_p0121a12:爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0121a20:到達波吒離村。時波吒離村優婆塞來至佛所,行禮已
ZW05n0046_p0121a21:畢,坐於一旁,而白世尊言:「大德世尊,請接受我等供養
ZW05n0046_p0121a22:堂捨。」世尊默允。波吒離優婆塞即從座起,右繞禮佛,
ZW05n0046_p0121a23:即往堂捨去。既至,即鋪設敷物,安置座位,擺放水罐、
ZW05n0046_p0121a24:油燈。而後又返回佛所,敬禮已畢,站立一旁,而白佛
ZW05n0046_p0121a25:言:「大德世尊,堂捨中鋪設已畢,座位、水罐、油燈已備,
ZW05n0046_p0122a01:請世尊往,今正是時。」
ZW05n0046_p0122a02:世尊即著衣持鉢,同大比丘眾往至堂捨。既至,即
ZW05n0046_p0122a03:洗足而入;背靠中柱,面東而坐。比丘眾亦洗足入內,背
ZW05n0046_p0122a04:靠後壁,圍繞世尊,面東而坐。波吒離村優婆塞亦洗足
ZW05n0046_p0122a05:入內,背靠東壁,面西而坐。
ZW05n0046_p0122a06:爾時,世尊告波吒離村諸優婆塞曰:「諸位施主,破
ZW05n0046_p0122a07:戒者得五種罪患。何云為五?破戒者不守戒規,放逸揮
ZW05n0046_p0122a08:霍;此為破戒者第一罪患。復次,破戒者罪名流布;此為
ZW05n0046_p0122a09:破戒者第二罪患。復次,破戒者入於大眾,所謂剎帝利
ZW05n0046_p0122a10:眾、婆羅門眾、居士眾、沙門眾,自感慚羞;此為破戒者第
ZW05n0046_p0122a11:三罪患。復次,破戒者迷惑致死;此為破戒者第四罪患。
ZW05n0046_p0122a12:復次,破戒者死後墜入惡生、地獄;此為破戒者第五罪
ZW05n0046_p0122a13:患。諸居士,破戒者有此五種罪患。
ZW05n0046_p0122a14:「諸居士,持戒者守持淨戒,有五種功德。何云為五?
ZW05n0046_p0122a15:因其持戒、精進,必積大財;此為持戒者第一功德。復
ZW05n0046_p0122a16:次,持戒者持淨戒,必得稱譽,此為持戒者第二功德。復
ZW05n0046_p0122a17:次,持淨戒者入於大眾,如剎帝利眾、婆羅門眾、居士眾、
ZW05n0046_p0122a18:沙門眾,無有慚愧恐懼;此為持戒者第三功德。復次,持
ZW05n0046_p0122a19:戒者死時不迷惑,此為持戒者第四功德。復次,持戒者
ZW05n0046_p0122a20:持淨戒,死後必生善趣,入天界,此為持戒者第五種功
ZW05n0046_p0122a21:德。諸居士,這便是持戒者持淨戒當得之五種功德。」
ZW05n0046_p0122a22:爾時,世尊以法語開示波吒離村優婆塞眾,使其信
ZW05n0046_p0122a23:受、精進、喜悅。說法已,告曰:「諸居士,今時已晚,汝等
ZW05n0046_p0122a24:當去。」時波吒離村諸居士歡喜信受,即從座起,敬禮右
ZW05n0046_p0122a25:繞而去。波吒離村居士離去未久,世尊即入空室。
ZW05n0046_p0123a01:爾時,摩揭陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅欲於波吒離
ZW05n0046_p0123a02:村建立城防,以御離車諸王。時有數千天神守護波吒離
ZW05n0046_p0123a03:村財產物品。國中高級王公大臣欲於有高級天神守護
ZW05n0046_p0123a04:之地建立宅舍;中級王公大臣欲於中級天神守護之地建
ZW05n0046_p0123a05:立宅舍;下級王公大臣欲於下級天神守護之地建立宅
ZW05n0046_p0123a06:舍。時世尊以超人之淨眼觀見此一切。
ZW05n0046_p0123a07:世尊如是見已,於黎明時分起身,問阿難曰:「阿難,
ZW05n0046_p0123a08:誰欲在波吒離村建立城防?」阿難答曰:「大德世尊,摩揭
ZW05n0046_p0123a09:陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅欲於波吒離村建立城防,以

ZW05n0046_p0123a11:世尊曰:「阿難,是摩揭陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅
ZW05n0046_p0123a12:與忉利天諸天神商議,在波吒離村建造城防,以御離車
ZW05n0046_p0123a13:諸王。阿難,我已以超人天眼觀見,將有數千天神守護
ZW05n0046_p0123a14:此城。國中高級王公大臣欲在高級天神守護之地區建
ZW05n0046_p0123a15:造宅舍;中級王公大臣欲在中級天神守護之地區建造宅
ZW05n0046_p0123a16:舍;下級王公大臣欲在下級天神守護之地區建造宅舍。
ZW05n0046_p0123a17:阿難,新建之波吒離城中,將有聖者住地;有商業區,各
ZW05n0046_p0123a18:地貨品將集於此,將有甚大場地供其開箱理貨。阿難,
ZW05n0046_p0123a19:將建之波吒離城將遭三災:火、水和內亂。」
ZW05n0046_p0123a20:未久,摩揭陀國大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅來至佛所,
ZW05n0046_p0123a21:問候言歡。問候言歡已,站立一旁,而白世尊言:「大德
ZW05n0046_p0123a22:喬答摩及比丘眾今日請受我齋供。」世尊默然應允。二
ZW05n0046_p0123a23:大臣知佛已受請,即返其家,準備上好嚼食和食品,往請
ZW05n0046_p0123a24:世尊:「大德喬答摩,齋已具備,今正是時,請來應供。」爾
ZW05n0046_p0123a25:時朝時,世尊與大比丘眾著衣持鉢,往摩揭陀國大臣須
ZW05n0046_p0124a01:尼陀和婆沙迦羅家。既至,坐於已備之座位。摩揭陀國
ZW05n0046_p0124a02:大臣須尼陀和婆沙迦羅親以食供奉。食已,世尊移手出
ZW05n0046_p0124a03:鉢。時須尼陀與婆沙迦羅守於近旁,坐於矮位之上。世
ZW05n0046_p0124a04:尊隨喜,即興說偈:

ZW05n0046_p0124a14:門則名為『喬答摩門』,過恒河何渡口,則名該渡口為『喬
ZW05n0046_p0124a15:答摩渡口』。」
ZW05n0046_p0124a16:爾時世尊所經之門,果被命名為「喬答摩門」。世尊
ZW05n0046_p0124a17:到恒河邊時,河水漲滿,乃至烏鴉立於河岸便可飲及河
ZW05n0046_p0124a18:水。欲渡河者,或求舟船,或尋木筏。時世尊及比丘眾,
ZW05n0046_p0124a19:於手臂伸屈之頃刻,即從此岸消失而到達彼岸。
ZW05n0046_p0124a20:爾時世尊見許多欲渡者,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0125a04:白佛言:「大德世尊,那是一條路,我等可同行彼路。」世
ZW05n0046_p0125a05:尊告那伽薩瑪拉曰:「那伽薩瑪拉,應走之路,此路也。
ZW05n0046_p0125a06:我等同行此路。」那伽薩瑪拉如是再說:「大德世尊,那是
ZW05n0046_p0125a07:一條路,我等可同行彼路。」如是乃至三說。世尊亦如是
ZW05n0046_p0125a08:再告那伽薩瑪拉尊者:「那伽薩瑪拉,應走之路,此路也。
ZW05n0046_p0125a09:我等同行此路。」乃至三告。時那伽薩瑪拉尊者便將世
ZW05n0046_p0125a10:尊之衣鉢置於地上,道一聲「此是世尊之衣鉢」,便沿彼
ZW05n0046_p0125a11:路行去。
ZW05n0046_p0125a12:時那伽薩瑪拉於途中遭遇賊寇,被拳打腳踢,鉢被
ZW05n0046_p0125a13:打破,僧伽利衣被撕毀。那伽薩瑪拉持破衣破鉢往見世
ZW05n0046_p0125a14:尊。禮世尊已,坐於一旁,而白世尊言:「大德世尊,我沿
ZW05n0046_p0125a15:彼路行時,遇賊寇,遭歐打;鉢被打破,衣被撕毀。」
ZW05n0046_p0125a16:爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0125a22:如是我聞:一時,世尊在捨衛城東園彌伽羅母講堂
ZW05n0046_p0125a23:住。時彌伽羅母毗捨佉所喜愛之孫女去世,毗捨佉衣服
ZW05n0046_p0125a24:濡濕,頭髮濡濕,於午時至佛所,禮佛已,坐於一旁。世
ZW05n0046_p0125a25:尊問毗捨佉曰:「毗捨佉,汝如此將衣、髮濡濕,於此午
ZW05n0046_p0126a01:時,從何處來此?」毗捨佉答言:「大德世尊,我心愛之孫
ZW05n0046_p0126a02:女亡故。因此之故,我濡濕衣、髮,於午時來此。」
ZW05n0046_p0126a03:世尊又問:「毗捨佉,汝願得眾多子孫,如捨衛城人
ZW05n0046_p0126a04:數否?」毗捨佉答言:「大德世尊,我願得眾多子孫,如舍衛城人數。」
ZW05n0046_p0126a05:世尊問:「毗捨佉,捨衛城人每日死亡多少?」
ZW05n0046_p0126a06:毗捨佉答言:「捨衛城人每日死亡人數或十,或九,
ZW05n0046_p0126a07:或八,或七,或六,或五,或四,或三,或二,或一。舍衛城
ZW05n0046_p0126a08:死人不止,無有定數。」
ZW05n0046_p0126a09:世尊問曰:「毗捨佉,如是,汝能得一日不濡濕衣、髮
ZW05n0046_p0126a10:否?」
ZW05n0046_p0126a11:毗捨佉答言:「如是,世尊,不能。我無需這般多子
ZW05n0046_p0126a12:孫。」
ZW05n0046_p0126a13:世尊曰:「毗捨佉,有百愛者,有百苦者。有九十愛
ZW05n0046_p0126a14:者,有九十苦者。有八十愛者,有八十苦者。有七十愛
ZW05n0046_p0126a15:者,有七十苦者。有六十愛者,有六十苦者。有五十愛

ZW05n0046_p0127a08:時末羅子陀驃尊者至世尊所。既至,禮佛已,坐於一旁,
ZW05n0046_p0127a09:而白佛言:「大德世尊,今正是我般涅槃之時。」世尊曰:
ZW05n0046_p0127a10:「今正是時,汝當知時。」
ZW05n0046_p0127a11:爾時陀驃即從座起,行右繞,禮世尊已,即上昇虛
ZW05n0046_p0127a12:空,結跏趺坐,修火遍,入四禪,從定中起而入般涅槃。
ZW05n0046_p0127a13:般涅槃後身被火化,無有餘燼;如燃酥油、麻油而不留灰
ZW05n0046_p0127a14:燼一般。
ZW05n0046_p0127a15:爾時,世尊如是知已,即興而說:

ZW05n0046_p0127a23:「諸比丘,末羅子陀驃上昇虛空,結跏趺坐;修火遍,入四
ZW05n0046_p0127a24:禪;從定中起而入般涅槃。身軀火化,無有灰燼;如燃酥
ZW05n0046_p0127a25:油、麻油而不留灰燼一般。」
